I totally understand your comment about your leftover money getting used for other things. That was me for about a year but I was able to slowly build up my sinking funds and can now have more fun with my leftover money! You will get there my friend with consistency! Great video! 💖

OH MY Gosh! I swear I responded to you Kay! But here we are days later and it looks like I didn't. Yes, the hardest part of this has been building the sinking fund binders. Because I still have the expenses coming in and I barely have anything in a particular envelope. :) Anyway it is still more fun this way. Thank you for being the first commenter on this video I love that because you are one of my favorites to watch. AND the Santa Pirate really is one of my favorites, even though something doesn't feel quite right about that. lol. He should not be a pirate right? But I love it!!!

Hi Alicia! I'm not quite ready to start on my own budgeting journey other than keeping mental tabs on my paychecks. I get paid pretty decently considering it's part time, but I'm working on accumulating what I feel I need for an apartment I hope to get in about 6 months.

That sounds pretty exciting. I tried the mental tabs on my paycheck thing and I just don't have the mental part. lol I found that I just ended up spending what I had earmarked for other things. So I had to go this route, and so far it is great! When you do get a place, just remember to try to stick to no more than 30-35% of your paycheck for rent or a house payment. I know it is hard but it allows you to stay afloat with all the other bills that come in.

Yes I wanted to spread the money out, but in the end I was fine. That one is kind of exciting though. lol. I picked up the turtle IOU at misfitsofbudgeting.etsy.com. I bought mine in December but I just looked and she still has them. Thank you for visiting my channel.
