After finally reproducing it perfectly I have mad respect for that TAP combo you do at 0:56. There's an easier to execute version that I figured out as well but it doesn't look as cool or as smooth. My goal is to pull yours off in a real match some day even though the damage isn't even close to optimal, just for the swag.
Adding inputs wouldn't be a bad idea next time. For the life of me I can't figure out how the combo at :22 works. I know you can cancel standing moves into down-up charge moves but going from St.HK to charge down to st.MK~uppercut doesn't give enough time to charge the uppercut. The combo still works with back-forward charge though so it doesn't really matter I guess.
I'll tell you how it works: Barely. I buffer the s.HK as soon as possible during the landing frames, immediately start charging down. Then I wait for as long as possible after the s.HK, release down, press MK, and then immediately press up+LK (MK works too, but I did LK here). Heavies have more hitstop than in SFIV, so you can get away with stuff like that.
Yeah so gonna learn that last one 😱 Do you think Rog op in your opinion? I think he's strong but his timing gives it a bit more of a work for the damage type of thing in my opinion.
I haven't really touched Balrog since this video so sadly I don't know what he's really capable of nowadays. I see nothing about it being nerfed in the change lists tho.
