+sunrase9225 Hope you had notified the clerks.Cause them machines fill up and stop on customers.Says its full and a clerk must take change. And reset it to take more.I go to my bank as well to avoid the service fees. For having a bank account.Think nowadays though every adult has one and most teens
+sunrase9225 Did you even look up the dates on each of them.,you could have some rare coins. Did you roll around in them like Scooged Mc Duck before taking them in if so I hope you cleaned them. hahaha
I cannot believe you did that without searching the coins for valuable mint marks, but that was a lot of coins. Your work may be why I still can find silvers in the coin rolls, so I bless you and your work. Continue on, coin masters. Give us all you got.
We're 99% sure there were no rare coins. The coins were mostly from work and change. We tried to get nothing but silver coins in. but some pennies snuck through.
+Don't Worry not at all true. i bought 9 bucks in half dollars the other day from the bank and got 3 silver coins. i bought 20 bucks in quarters and got 5 silver pieces ... musta been a mint in there
LMNOP Person Definately true, count yourself as a lucky person, provided that story is true and you didnt just lie to get some internet credit points. Go to any coin collecting forum and people will collectively agree that finding pre-1965 silver quarters is near impossible. Not IMPOSSIBLE but near impossible.
I was expecting the machine to go 'fuck you dude, I ain't swallowing that much in 1 go'. My god, how much did that jug weigh before you broke it, must have weighed a few hundred kilos. Hint, 1 kg is roughly 2.2 pounds weight.
This video is probably the record breaker for MOST COINS EVER! I watched it many times because I LOVE seeing the coins get counted! In fact this was one of the videos that got me motivated to start saving up again (basically coins and one dollar bills)! How long did you guys save up those coins for? That's what I'm curious to know!
Motivating video! About 10 years ago I saved up just under $800 in coins over about a year, which I ended up deposited into my bank. This year I decided to start saving coins again. It's been a bit over two months and I'm almost at $200. My goal is to save $1,000+ a year, for which I have to average $2.74+ a day, or $19.25+ a week. So far I'm on track. In order to be able to keep track of this I roll my coins each week as they add up. Keeping them organized and seeing $20+ add up each week adds to the motivation.
In 1971 a senior gentleman came into the bank I worked for on three SEPARATE occasions within a year and cashed in $6,000 worth of change each time. 6K in 1971 money is equivalent to 40K in 2020 money
This was a weekly activity when I worked part time at an arcade game room. The security truck would come to the back door and they had the machine in the truck. Quarters really add up fast!
I'd be careful with that. You should maths up the coins - remove the weight of the water keg and find the weight of a quarter and divide them to gether and find out a good estimate business.financialpost.com/news/fp-street/toronto-dominion-bank-facing-class-action-lawsuit-over-coin-counting-machines-in-canada I couldn't find the weight of an empty 5 gallon jug but if it was 200lbs of just quarters it'd be $3999 dollars roughly. So you may be missing $100+ dollars depending on the weight of the jug.
The most ive saved up to was £658 in pennies but that soon went because of paying bills and buying food and watching this makes me want to start saving the pennies again
+Steve Greg Well they had to put them into that gallon jar they cracked open. If they knew to look for older coins I'd bet they didn't throw any silvers in.
ive gonna save ever single penny till i die and give all my money to my grand children swear well maybe not all the money problay like a little more then half
That looked like fun! I’m gonna ask my bank to change $500 from me into change so I can use their coin-counting machine and get my (hopefully) $500 back!
That's amazing! You've had to of spent a ton of money to get that much change. I bet you save every cent you come across. Don't blame ya,clearly it pays!
@@RetroAP I actually used to get a lot from stores when I was in high school 2008-2012 he's been saving for years a good chunk could be silver coins. I see less now but will still get one occasionally.
Andygamer99 if they were all silver quarters that would have been nearly $50,000 but that's nothing I work in the coin business and a guy collected silver quarters since the ww2 Era when he cashed them in had nearly $6,000,000 in silver now that's some serious $$$
Awesome 👏 imagine rolling and counting all that🤔👀 or bringing to to bank teller. They would probably laugh at you at say no chance in hell buddy 😝 nice video 👍✌️
Smart move about using the free coin counter. Coinstar would've taken a 10% chunk out of that. Too bad you didn't search for silver or oldies. Surely, there would've been a ton.
I have a small little tiny ziplock bag with me right now and I missed my chance of being able to cash them in at the grocery store. I was going to buy a movie ticket with the cash. Yall however get to make a small down payment!!!
I wish we had machines like that in sweden were i live. Now we need to go to the bank (not all banks handle cash) and ask for paper rolls and fill them up and then go back to the bank and put the money on your account.
I do the same thing every year I fill up the same type of jugs. Everyday I put my loose silver change and singles in there and usually end up w two full ones at the end of the year. Usually end up w anywhere between $5,000 and $10,000. Awesome way to save money without trying and really thinking about it!!
Or one could simply switch bank or ask the bank to think about featuring a Keep the Change Savings Program like Bank of America does, take a bit of time and look it up.
I wondered about the lack of penny's and your total was almost double what others have gotten with pennies. Thanks for sharing. PenAir Federal Credit Union has free coin sort counters also. I'm sure they would take out portions of the sorted coins before it got too heavy to remove
