I live in Australia and dealing from the shoe would solve this problem really easily. Sure there would be some teething problems but I can’t imagine they would last long. The moderately experienced dealers are super fast, the shoe is small (can basically fit in one hand) and easy to use and there are also far less exposed cards or mis-deals I’ve found in comparison to the regular pitch that happens at home games. Big fan of this idea, would stop the problem dead in its tracks - great ep guys!!
I’m a dealer at a Vegas Casino. It would be super easy to “train” the dealers to use a shute. The only issue would be room on the felt for it. I’m confident other than the clunkiness of the shute dealers could pick up on this in a matter of minutes.
I wish I saw this podcast months ago. My wife didn't make me sleep with her for months. "If it's too good to be true, she's cheating." Caught her with the Wo Lae Yok from the nail salon. Ima call him a Korean Uzbeki just to make it sound better. Anyways besides the birth of my daughter this was the best thing that ever happened to me.
I've been in poker since 1992, dealt for 10 years. I dealt at Harrah's temporary casino and EVERY deck was marked with ink. The ink degraded the actual card very lightly. I figured this out and actually showed the poker manager. I took 3 setups from the cabinet, shuffled, and could literally take EVERY card and call... 3 of clubs, Jack of diamonds, 4 of spades... For all cards on all decks. He looked at me and disregarded it. How's that for some bullshit. I remember the guys that were wearing sunglasses... Back way before it was trendy. Farha was playing in these games (cigarette yes, sunglasses no). I remember once he corrected what he felt was a too high pitch technique.
If casinos really cared about poker they'd be enforcing the same rules they enforced in their pit games. No phone, no headphones, no glasses, no stuff on the table.
I'm from the Philippines and play HS cash here and we just got a ring of Russians suddenly show up our games and it was extremely shady to begin with. They sat for a week and some strange hands happened, they eventually get banned. They are so bad at poker though in that they are weak tight that it was easy not to lose to them if you were a good player. Problem was they took money off the fishes and whales. Everything you mentioned about seating arraignments etc was exactly how they worked
great show, one way to lesson odds of playing with one of these cheaters coming into your game is to grab that one or two seat yourself, tell others regs to do the same.
Coming to this a day late. I'm now pretty sure we were cheated a few months ago. A guy with a similar profile to what you described. English was sketchy. Sitting in seat 2. Kept winning rivers with really odd lines. Phone on the rail. Lost 2 big pots on the river. One to showdown with 75o rivering trip 5. I was careful in hands with him the rest of the day. No proof of course. Looking back now, I wonder.
I got cheated in a no cap game by a player who always sat in the 2 seat and was in with the dealers, who rolled the deck to him so he would know if he would hit his flush or not I sat next to him and saw it with my own eyes, it was so obvious once you knew what to look for, the dealers thumb on the corner of the deck, not on top of it I started to realize this scam when I noticed he sat out on the left handed dealers down Also,he sucked at poker, never lost and never drew to a flush and missed, also made crazy all in calls on the turn vs sets etc and would always hit
Even if Dealer pitch was corrected, would this be a viable way to play perfectly if the pinhole camera is just seeing the same thing the player is seeing? Just have someone running GTO Wizard and feeding info to the player? Might not be worth it for small stakes but I would think it'd be very profitable playing bigger games. The fair play check probably isn't as helpful when the hand is played live.
I went back and watched the Robbi hand with this knowledge, and I noticed someone in the comments pointed out that at 8:06 in that video (“the greatest hero call of all time”) that they noticed Robbi took off a red ring basically the moment Garrett was suspicious of her. Her hand goes under the table with the ring and comes back up without it. I think that might be the cheating device.
Ive analyzed that part of the video. If you pause the video where she picks up the water bottle right after that. It shows that the red stone is still on the side of her finger. She didn’t take it off.
So she had a cheating device, literally used it for one hand only and then after being accused of cheating went right back to playing with whatever device she had on her. The hand in a vacuum is insane but looking at it in totality there's zero percent chance she cheated other than possibly seeing his hand that one hand only.
that situation is just a nervous bad player trying to justify a mistake. She literally thought she had a 3. Its way more likely that she is dumb than she actually tried to cheat and win that hand out of all the others.
@@sampratt6831 why do millions of people play casino games they can never win at long term? People like to gamble. Wouldn't be the first time someone threw money away on a woman with a big rack. Why do people play in this game at all when they're massive dogs? Because they like the gamble.
A 63 year old Ukrainian guy and a 37 year old Latvian guy just got arrested in France this past weekend for that cheatin in poker and blackjack. Is it the same guys? They had phones on tables and invisible earpieces that required a magnet to retrieve them from their ear. The pictures would be taken and a third party was outside uploading the photos to a computer instantly from the parking lot and would instantaneously send the info through the ear piece of what the cards were. Crazy.
Good stuff boys! GG first thing would be to make sure they have proper cameras at the WSOP. Because at this moment its free for all for the cheaters and scammers.
There are many more sophisticated sensors available, for example, directional heart monitors, that can measure a person's heart rate from a distance ,this is just scratching the surface.
@@DBscooperPoker that was the theory range, I imagine he's a bit tighter but tough to predict in what ways. I think it's better to just see what happens in theory and adjust accordingly. If my hand almost never raises in theory, for example, then I def shouldn't raise in practice.
imagine selecting a specimen as dumb as Robbi to cheat for you in a televised game. she thought she had a 3 and was too embarrassed to speak the truth after the hand.
If ever in this spot again, just pay the dealer extra to euro deal and see how much you can beat him for??? Thats what id do. Then when we quits, have your crew ready to pick him up when he leaves the casino lol. But seriously one or the other lol
Going to have to agree with my man Conrad here that flopping bottom pair with a backdoor flush draw is not flopping the world. Or maybe Guapo's said it? Either way I agree with whoever said that
So really the pro play is if you're in a good big game and sense any of the hotspots mentioned here at all tell any new dealer/any late night floor staff here's $5/$50 bc you're superstitious/not dumb and want Euro deal all cards delivered to you.
these co-hosts are terrible. Every question the curly haired one asks sounds like its coming from a 5th grader who needs everything explained in simple terms.
The way Berkey is explaining his cheating situation is different from the camera recording cards when being pitched by the dealer. In his case, the person knows he has the winning hand by the river when receiving the cards preflop. He doesn't know what you have, he just knows he will have the best hand. So he can call any bets flop and turn knowing he will hit river. This one is done with a rigged deck that has an invisible barcode on it. It has to be scanned by any device and the information is then relayed to the player. It also explains why he would just limp QQ (because QQ will be beat by someone else by the river) . You can ask me more details if you want. I've been cheated many times... learned the hard way
Instead of asking the guy to take his ear buds and phone off the table why not have the dealer change to euro pitch (cards on the table the whole time)? 49:20
Have another dealer, who's been previously told to keep the cards on the table at all times, replace the other one and see if the cheater continues winning or if he just leaves. This would be even more proof
12:40 Berkey if you want to get in shape like Hugh Jackman then hop back on your monthly 1000mg Trenbalone and 2000 mg Testosterone stack right after you're done your PCT.
it will all bounce or rally again once it gets its footing, but if it is below what low it sets here by end of the year next year will be a bear market.
Berkey acts like he is under deposition lol “I can’t name names.” Lol Dude knows everything about everything but can’t name names or say anything that is concrete. Also,…..on the hand he initially talked about with KQ vs 97o,…… Berkey made a weak ass bet on the flop, a weak ass bet on the turn and a check on the river, then gets blasted with a 3x pot bet when the villain catches trips on the river. Maybe the guy is cheating but that play isn’t ridiculous.
@@alanweiss6314 should be obvious that not putting myself or others in harms way is paramount. Far as the hh goes, he cold called a 4b with 97o. Pretty important detail to leave off.
So if you’re a pro and play any two cards like Action Dan then you are fine but if you’re a rec player and play like Action Dan and win then you must be cheating. Got it.
How come all my forum posts and comments which said the title of this video aren't being flooded with compliments and apologies from the people who said conspiracy theorist
So by his theory anyone that doesn’t play by the books or like a pro is cheating? Because I never raise pre-flop but I call almost any bets pre-flop specially with suited connectors or pocket pairs. I’m sure a lot of the speculation are accurate. But some of his accusations is basically him saying if they don’t play like him or read the same book as him, then they must be cheating.
Hahah it's amazing people still think she cheated. Even funnier that Garret exposed himself for the fake nice scumbag he is as he torched his printing press.
