A review of the Casio CA-500WE-7B calculator watch. An update of the Casio CA-500WE, Casio have released a trio of watches based upon the heritage colours used on the 1970s calculator clock CQ-1. They have labelled the collection as 'Heritage Colours' and the watches come in white (CA-500WE-7B), red (CA-500WE-4B) and yellow (CA-500WEGG-9B) and is a part of their Vintage series.

You can use the other half of the clasp to pop the lever to adjust when you’re on the go btw, no screwdriver needed. You can just sort of wrap it around and dig a corner into it and pop it up. Doesn’t cause any scratching as far as I’ve seen. Btw great channel, watching all your vids, please keep going and would love to see more vintage digital watches as well as G-Shocks

Nice Watch…But with these negative screens they are impossible to see if you are not in direct sunlight; i have 2 casio with negative lcd and I left them locked in a drawer…

Anyone know why they left out the backlight? Seems like a bloody stupid thing to NOT have in 2024..

This movement never had a backlight, its been in use for ages. I'm guessing they dont want to do the r&d to make a new movement for such a budget watch. I would buy it myself.
