Casio should have improved the interface to make it easy to do split and layer. Some of the advanced piano+pad tone is terrible. The pad part is just too thick and draggy. Despite having more sounds than Yamaha Piaggero NP15/35, I don’t think most people will bother to use them because of the clumsy user interface. If Casio insists on using the function + keys combo to change setting, why not just label them like Casio CDP range? And can we have a looping feature in the recorder? And a pair of 1/4 inch line out, please?

The sound quality on this is just amazing! I am shopping for a keyboard but have small hands so I need a keyboard that is suited to this. If anyone can recommend a good more entry level model for small hands, I’d truly appreciate it! Thank you!

Really small? Yamaha Reface CP. It has the best mini-keys out there, no competition. It offers 6 types of great sounding electric piano's and there is a hidden acoustic piano as well (you have to dial in the instrument selection dial in between two options and power it up)! Highly recommended!

Did Casio actually change their standard box keys they’ve been using for years now? Is this new CT model essentially using the same action as the MZX-500, but with 76 keys?

the principle of construction is the same : plasic hinged 'key-arrays'. So it still has the 'special feel' of pastic hinged actions. BUT quallity of ''Casio actual generation action' has much improved: feels solid, no noise, no clicky-clacky and it seems they don't wear out anymore The keys still have a rather flush 'bottom hit' - very different to the 'firm hit' of e.g. Roland Go.

Does the plastic-like-a-toy feel and weight of Casio ct s1 has been improved in 76 keys version??

Nope, there's just more of them 😂 and slightly bigger speakers. That's it.

The Stage Piano voice can't beat the Yamaha's Grand Piano to be honest.

measured decay of the main-piano of CT-S1 61 and Roland GO. On Note C4: Roland Go: 8 seconds (EIGHT !) Casio CT: 17 seconds : this is a good value for such a budget key. Also, differently to older PX, the decay curve is smooth.

Kawai made good pianos. Than … looks like they stopped. Casio started to make good pianos… do casio stole something from kawai? Know how or the engineers?
