@maisonvague the CR 8000 is not modified, only played with the CR 8000 Kadi Kit from Kenton. The Snare sound is overdubbed with a noise shot from the Casio CZ. The bassdrum is from the CZ, too.
You should sell these patches - a testament as to how good the CZ's can sound! Now, if only Casio had put sounds like these as presets on the CZ's instead of the generic, weak sounding rubbish just think how much more successful they could have been. 23 years after getting my first CZ101 I am STILL finding new sounds that surprise the hell out of me. A great little synth!
The BEST demo for a synth I have heard on RU-vid. I'd rather listen to this than watch some disembodied pair of hands play random chords badly and noodly solos complete with bum notes and then not bother to edit it but just stick it up on youtube and call it a demo. YOUR DEMO ROCKS. Now I want a CZ101!
Ha! Sounds great! The CZ 101 is a killer machine...I haven't heard one in years and years - most likely since it was popular! But you make it sound better then even I remember! Good stuff!
This track proves the point that - to use an analogy - a talented gardener doesn't need a platinum spade, he can do well with one of mere steel to create a fine landscape... I will want to learn from your excellent composing and arranging skills.
I found a cz 101 at work recently, i took it home and tested it & it works perfectly.Two white keys are cracked, probably happend when it fell out of the skip but im going to replace them. Why would anyone throw one of these away? Lovely little synth. Nice demo ^^
As a matter of opinion - between CZ 1,1000,3000,5000 and VZ1/10m/8m, which would you prefer over the CZ101/1000? Do you think that all the CZ's sound the same or are there some improvements in the sound other than the extra waveforms in the higher CS synths? Does the CZ101 really sound fatter than the rest, as many claim?
Who would have guessed the CZ 101 could ever sound this good? Just goes to show you what a truly talented artist can do! BTW has your CR-8000 been modified? That snare sounds 10x better than mine.
