She was just the cutest little thing when you pulled out of the driveway. She actually looked happy to be on the road.

Love the Davis Mountain's, child hood for 17 years family camped there, old Ft. Stockton resident. I'm working on getting a Casita now and head out to AZ gold panning, enjoy my old stomping grounds.

Wow! what a cool place to grow up. Thank you for the comment! We had a great time, and we go out to Davis Mountains state park often!

How well does the carpet insulation do in cold and hot weather? I heard the heater is loud, is that true?
@adventuresonthehorizon6616

Not sure much insulation there, but I usually wear house slippers so…there’s that. And yes, heater is loud! Thanks for the question!

Thinking about buying a casita and would really like to hear how happy you are with it and the smaller size. Enjoyed the video. Thanks!

Hi Rick! We absolutely love our Casita! They are very well made, in our opinion much better than a non fiberglass RV. You can get them anywhere! With that said, we will be getting a larger class C for when we go full time in 2023. Im 5'11 and so is my husband, so the bathroom is definitely tight, I have to crick my head one side or the other. If your thinking of buying one definitely step in one and go in the bathroom and pretend your using it! lol. If we were shorter, would keep it for sure. I would also get the freedom version with the two single beds, =no crawling over husband in the middle of the night! Cheers and thanks for watching!

Being from the Northwest, it almost looks martian to me. But you know what's around you! Might consider a backpack for your little 4 legged family members so you can go farther! I had a Jack Russell, who was always up for getting out. Great fun watching you guys! Looking at getting a Casita. Love that 'fire pit'.

Thank you so much!! I really love making videos so will be keeping that up. Our plan is to go full time in about 2 years, with a larger rig. Thank you for the suggestion for a backpack for the dogs, that’s exactly my plan. Their little legs just get tuckered out!! Casitas are great, highly recommend! 👍 ☺️

I will be taking my 17 ft. Bigfoot trailer to the Davis Mtn State Park and Schriener Park in a few weeks. It was nice to see your trip. Thank you for sharing.

Oh very nice!! We are very seriously considering upgrading to a 25 ft Bigfoot in about a year and a bit. Our plan is to hit the road full time in 2 years, so the added space and 4 season capability would be great. How do you like your Bigfoot? Anything specific you don't love or any issues with it?
@faye944
@faye944 3 года назад
@@adventuresonthehorizon6616 I love my Bigfoot! I have an older 1994 Bigfoot, and it is still in wonderful shape. I have had it about 4 years and the only issue that I currently have is the window molding has shrunk since coming to the west Texas desert from its previous life In Washington state. Since you seem to like Boondocking I would suggest the high lift axle. You can rarely go wrong with a molded fiberglass trailer. I look forward to watching more and seeing which trailer to decide to move to. Have happy and safe travels!

Great video, I really enjoyed it. I have a Tundra too and am wondering what your MPG is towing a Casita.

@adventuresonthehorizon6616 3 года назад
Thank you for the comment! We get about 12 miles per gallon while towing, 17 without. Cheers!

I was so glad when you picked your dog up cause he was tired! Maybe you can also get or make a dog back pack that's comfortable for a dog!

Hi! Thanks for the comment! Oh yeah! They don't go very far before they have to be carried, which is why we will be getting backpacks for them! Poor little legs get tired!!

How long does your battery last when you are boondocking w/o elec or water hookups? My Casita is a 2017 with an SRM27 battery and while I have not tested it to extinction, I have a Jackery 500 that I have rigged to provide 12v backwards through the Casita cigarette lighter outlet by the tv. I have not had a chance to test the true benefit of this but it does serve to backcharge the battery in storage (I can't keep the trailer at home, it is in a storage facility). I would like to know how long someone using an unaltered system can make their power last. I already know the answer about freshwater (5 days for me with showers, 25 gal tank) but 12v would be good to know. Running the fridge on propane and LED lights should (maybe) give you numerous days off grid. Plus everyone has a trick or 2 about saving power. It seems to me that the most limiting factor to these trailers is their black water capacity (15 gal). Be safe and enjoy! I love my Casita!

Hi! Thank you for the comment! We haven't really pushed ours to failure yet either, but I think with the Jackery's help it could be at least 3 days, maybe 4 is my best guess. It all depends on how much you use your water pump also.

Hello. Great videos we appreciate you taking the time to make them. My wife and I have picked up several pointers from you guys. We have a question about the pan with the orange folding handle in this video...what brand is it and where did you get it from? Much thanks.

Hi! Thank you so much for watching, and also the comment! Really appreciate it! The pan is by Jetboil, and I think I got it at REI. LOVE it. Its nonstick, very light weight and its cool the handles collapse down. Highly recommend! :)
