So i did my first video that was called "Casper advanced footwork fundamentals" Got a lot of love so this is the new video hope you like it! Enjoy! -Casper
i used to breakdance in high school ..... man i wish we had youtube. so much style here, if i can get into shape again i would love to master some of these techniques, thank you for sharing
Capser is one of the freshest cats ALIVE !!! Nice video man, I love Knee rocks but they hurt after a while... Time to invest in knee pads. Hhaha Oh, and I have seen the 8ball six step before this from the Bboy Game(Kmel does it) Lol Thank you for sharing Casper !!
i know he's dope and thinks breaking in the cypher is a huge thing thing so do I! i watched his to be a bboy video. I agree 100% but I wish for him to have the opportunities others a getting aswell
Being on the fingertips is very benefitial - U r higher and can move way more quickly, u save a lot of your energy and it gives u more space and directions to go to with following moves. (Not from my head, Storm sayz that in one of his videos.)
I've heard the argument go both ways, and I think arm length is a factor as well, but I feel a lot more agile if I'm sitting up more and on my fingertips, but I can't stretch out as far and have the same extension. It's a trade-off that affects your style, and as always, it's useful to be able to do both.
I really like your crispy, efficient teaching style. It's great for people that don't need every single little thing explained to them. It could be my ego talking but I feel like sometimes the breaking instructionals I watch are a bit slow. I like to just see the moves done a couple times with a little bit of explaining and then move on to the next thing so I can pick and choose what I like and what I want to work on.
does anyone else realize that when he does his footwork, he's on his fingertips? i tried doing footwork like that before, DAMN it's hard! much respect. thanks for the tutorial Casper! =] one of my main inspirations.
I haven't done any breaking for about 3-4 years.... bboy casper was always a favourite of mine (him and miracles).... even though he looks kinda like a homeless now, i still got pure love for what he does..... and i also own the "your killing hip-hop" t-shirt he used to rock, guys a hero!!!
f*cking dope, and nice and smooth explaining 2, check out my airflare tut (bboy sambo airflare tut) Respect casper 4 SHARING KNOLEDGE, people are so fucking selfish in our day's LOVE
Damn his footwork is sooooooo good. i was a toprocker/ powermover and only knew how to CC/6 step. but now im inspired to do a lot of footwork... u rock casper
Thanks for the vid man. This honestly helped a lot. I've been struggling with footwork for awhile now. Footwork and Freezes. And I have a Zulu chapter (Tomahawk Zulus run by Coda) in my state, and I always feel dumb when I'm around them and they have dope footwork and mine is just balls lol.
Thanks for sharing this, Casper! I think you're a great example of how great looking moves do not need to be difficult or complicated. Everything you've shown is relatively simple but look awesome and can be easily applied.
WHY DOES HE NOT GET INVITED TO BC ONE, HE SHOULD BE AN ALLSTAR. WHY DOESNT HE GET INVITED TO IBE . WHY DOESNT HE GET INVITED TO R16 WHY DOESNT HE GET INVITED TO UK CHAMPIONSHIPS HE NEEDS TO LIVE OFF THE DANCE LIKE THE bc one allstars . HE CHOOSES TO GO TO THE CYPHER ASWELL AS COMPETITIONS, maybe keeping it raw is making him not able to do these competitions. but we all know he's one of the dopest bboys of all time. the minute he stepped on the dance floor.
I'm not the best, your not the best, new 'members' are DEFinitely not the best. And yes there are people you can call "ONE of the best" and Casper is one of them, ur other friend I can't put in the same category unfortunately, no offense to him he's doin his thing, but u really gtta learn bout more bboys before u start claimin who u "think" is the best.
I did not mean it like that. all bboys dance for expression, i mean its a shame he can't fully live of the dance. we all know keeping it raw in the cypher is dope as well as competing. but it would be dope if he could go to BC one or some of the notorious competitions more often.
but they still might invite him even though hes not into " flashy bc one power" Im just saying he deserves more respect and maybe more opportunities to go to competitions, im 100% sure he would not turn down a chance to go to the R16 or BC ONE
i just tried it out, its actually not that dificult, off start just go after this concept, your feet has to stay at the ground as you rise and like a knee drop from low position, actually suprisingly easy ;) but ofcouse wont look like caspers as he attends his flava, and dynamics but im just telling you guys the basic foundation i found from behind that step ;)
Great job my Brotha! One my favs in the game. FYI folks, if your dancing flat handed then you haven't advanced to the 'Majors'. SORRY. It's the first thing I notice when watching someone, it makes you look slow & your ass saggy. Sadly, alot of the 90's B-Boys did not pay attention to that detail so there is a whole generation that missed it. It's nothing strange, its standard.
nope hes breaking or B-boying jerk is a much newer dance B-boying has been around since the early 70's but has been done way before then in jerking the pin drop is taken from b-boying witch we B-boys call the knee drop same with most get downs and other "jerker" moves
do footwork on either the top of the palm of your hand down, or finger tips. This keeps you elevated and makes footwork look so much cleaner. Tho it takes awhile for your hands to build muscle, especially for finger tips. But you get use to it in a couple months with practice.
i live Hip-hop Breaking is a lifestyle no one is the best because there is different opinions aitt there are so many bboys out their i bet you dont even know i am not claiming i am just giving props to bboy whom i think are good and all you are is a E-boy
ahahah I my master tought me to do footwork on fingertips since when I began, but my master is not able to do it because he broke 2 fingers long time ago ;)
/watch?v=UbcQDueQxms for anyone who hasnt seen this battle. he uses the "titty twister" as well as a lot of other fw techniques in this cypher. check it out.
Casper said before that he's not into that kind of commercial bboying. He's definitely more into the cypher scene and not into all the flashy bc one power.
