Casper for PS2 is truly terrible 

Revenge of the Flying Dutchman would be a riot, genuinely one of the most unintentionally weird games I’ve ever played 😭

My favourite part of the "How did Casper die?" joke is that you come up with several different ways that he could have died- complete with a visual example- before explaining the actual canon reason. The timing on that was immaculate.

Correction; while it was published by Blast, it was actually made by Data Design Interactive, the same infamous UK developers that made the dreadful Ninjabread Man game which got cloned 3 times on the PS2 and Wii as Rock n Roll Adventures, Anubus II, and Myth Makers: Trixie in Toyland. This Casper game is the 4th clone.

Fun fact: This isn’t the only Casper game by blast and it’s on the Wii. The Code Monkeys was also involved in the project.

So I learned that Casper's last name was McFadden. For some reason it just made me chuckle thinking that Casper is Scottish. As for what spooky game you guys should play next, my vote is for Curse of the Flying Dutchman. The entire game in itself is frustrating and weird, but I have a lot of nostalgia for it as I played through it multiple times as a kid. It also came out only 13 months before Battle for Bikini Bottom.

I remember playing both this and Mr Bean on PS2 (Not bought in the same purchase, like years apart or something). And as soon as I couldn't get past the first levels on both, I had them both sent back for a refund. To say that these were the worst games I played on PS2 would be an understatement of a life time. Love the vids btw.

fun fact - in the original casper movie, Casper tries to literally kill himself because he can't make friends, before realizing he's already dead. Then, when he finally does, their mom won't let them be friends until Casper scares away a banker coming for a mortgage payment. So basically, Casper's mom is a tax evader.

Hands down Spongebob revenge of the Flying Dutchman. It’s horrifying as all hell. You’d have a more innocent and friendly time playing Doom Eternal.

Dear god I remember playing this game while younger; in fact, this is actually a reskin of Ninjabread Man for the PS2/PC/Wii, which itself was not only a reskin of a scrapped Zool tech demo, but also served as the basis for three other reskins (Anubis II, Myth Makers: Trixie in Toyland, and Rock and Roll Adventures); thank god most of the PS2 shovelware library is European-exclusive (unfortunately, many of these games were ported to the Wii, and released in North America). Anyway, SpongeBob Revenge of the Flying Dutchman gets my vote, but avoid the PS2 version as it has issues with later PS2 revisions (i.e. ones released at the time of the game's release) that could crash the game on loading screens (and corrupt your save if you're REALLY unlucky).

I found this channel a few days ago while reminiscing about childhood games and instantly fell in love with the content. Being in a 3 month lockdown I've been quite down mentally but binge watching all these videos and browsing through the comments has brought me so much joy. Honestly, I'd recommend Van Helsing PS2. I know nothing of the movie it's based on, but apparently the gameplay is store brand Devil May Cry, so that'll be interesting.

In the movie I think he died because he froze to death, something about always wanting to go sledding so he just went out and did it and died, it was during the model train scene. I'm literally just pulling this from memory though, saw the movie in theaters when I was a kid.

I had the Spongbob:ROTFD game since I was very little but never got pass the first few minutes because the game kept crashing at a certain point so it'll be interesting to finally see what's in store for that lol

Ya he died from A sickness after going sledding all day in he cold. He wa alike 6-7-8 years old and went to go sled and didn’t say any stuff to keep him warm or dry and he got sick died. It tells it and shows it in the real first Casper movie with Cristina Ricci! Even shows new articals show his dad going crazy trying to bring his dead son back from The grave with the machine that brings the dead back to life.

Would love to see you play Van Helsing. I actually liked playing it back when it came out. Pretty good as licenced games go.
