will you people listen to the lyrics? she's saying that she wishes he loved her enough that she could break his heart like he broke hers. she doesn't actually want to, she just wishes he cared enough about her that if she did the same thing to him that he did to her (but she doesn't want to) it would hurt him.
That's why, the smartest thing to do is to a.) stay away from guys or b.( be careful around them and only let yourself come open a little bit at a time. I, obviously if you know me, chose to just stay away from dating until I find the right guy and then open up to him a little at a time, if y'all let a guy see all you're secrets at once, you're gonna regret it sweetie, I would know, it happened to me twice.
She's an amazing artist that professionals can't see. She's one of the singers I know which talk about drama in life...The lyrics are so nice and the pitch is really 100%. Professionals messing so much talent here. Cassadee Pope is beautiful, has potential, lyrics are the right ones, better then some other artists that were lucky, best melody ever. Professionals=blind. It's pop! she was in a pop punk band, now she's doing pop country. I think she just grew up. She truly is a beautiful person. I was in a pop punk band for almost 4 years but I've been a huge music head in general and now I play indie folk pop ambient because I feel like that's what I was meant to do, I feel it in my bones. I think change is necessary and personal. Let her be, beautiful soul Cassadee Pope!
I've been a die-hard fan of Cassadee Pope ever since the Hey Monday, and when they went their separate ways, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to hear her sing anymore, truth is, I'm glad she kept going. And i'm glad to have supported her through The Voice, and I'm so proud of her now cause she came a long way on her own ! She's got an amazing voice and it gives me thrill on some of her songs. I think even though it's different than Hey Monday, this style mix of country-pop-rock suits her well cause it allows her to push her voice to the max, which is what I loved about her. All of this to say, I love Cassadee Pope no matter what ^^
Taylor didnt see much success until later in her career with the second album, i really hope cassadee becomes really famous cuz she deserve it she is an amazing vocalist and song writer and person
Cassadee Pope doesn't belong to one single genre. She can be pop, rock, and country if she wants to. Her album Frame by Frame is a combination of them all and that is what makes her such a unique and amazing artist. I just love her!
Cassadee, is just getting herself going. She has the vocals to transform and be whoever she wants to be. POP, ROCK, COUNTRY...she has all the right tools.
This is a well written and produced song. Melody is strong and the lyrics are thoughtful. Cassadee has a solid voice with perfect pitch. Her harmonies are spot on and she is strong in the higher ranges. She has good tonal control and adds perfect accents to her pitch. She can compete with the best of the women in country rock. Cassadee is a welcome new entry to this genre. I'd love to play guitar in her band. Frost
Cassadee is one of those artists that can sing almost any genre of music and make it sound good. I loved her in Hey Monday, though it felt like all the songs they sang were repetitive. She wanted to move on, try solo work. Maybe she never sang country before, but it suits her style of voice. She didn't change herself,she simply grew as an artist which is what music is all about. Yeah, she's a country singer, but with this song and her last song she's managed to keep some of her pop/rock routes.
Do people really classify this as country because of the sound or because it's a "ballad"? Hey Monday did plenty of songs that are considered a "ballad" like their song Candles for instance. If you've listened to her whole album then you would know she hasn't gone country. Most of you probably only think that because she was on Blake's Team. Even if she did go country, it's her decision.Who are you to say she shouldn't or can't go country. This girl has a great voice and can go really far in the industry. She has all the neccessary components. She's beautiful, which attracts guys and her catchy songs and lyrics hit home to girls. Perfect combo nowadays.

This video is so amazing! I couldn't have imagined it better. Cassadee is a rising star I've been following her BEFORE The Voice but for sure she's going to be a star. She's sweet amazing down to earth beautiful and has an AMAZING voice! So proud of you Cassadee.

Kayla Thompson I know about Hey Monday, I found out about them in 2009 and I like their music. The point in my previous comment was that Hey Monday were a pop-rock band and are not punk. Compare any Hey Monday song to a song by an actual punk band like Vice Squad, Lunachicks, The Voids, The Spookshow, and it's obvious they don't sound alike. So yeah, Cassadee was never a punk musician, she was in a pop-rock band and now she's doing pop-country.
To all the Hey Monday fans saying she sold out you guys obviously are not real fans. I was upset of Hey Monday breaking up but I still continue to follow and support Cassadee. She's a down to earth person who cares a lot about her fans.

She may have intended for it to be a revenge song but I always interpreted it as her wishing she was important enough to him to hurt him. Like the only ones that can hurt me are the people I trust and care about. Plus with lyrics like “I never ever wanna hurt you baby, but it’d be nice to know that I could” it just doesn’t seem like revenge to me.

Hey Monday fans need to calm down, i loved Hey Monday back in '08-'11 but im not gonna bitch about them going separate ways, its What they wanted, what SHE wanted .. People change this includes famous people, they are no different... Tastes in music changes, singing styles can change, and appearances change...this Video is Beautiful and the Song is Fantastic.. If you truly listened to the WHOLE album you will hear Country, but her pop/rock style is in there as well... Shes happy with what shes doing, why hate her for that?
you cant be sure she's happy or content. Many of these shows force their winners into a certain genre, make them mainstream. Not saying she isnt, but she may not be as happy as it seems. I personally prefer her hey monday stuff, and think its a bit odd that she took such a leap after being on a tv show with a country singer as her mentor.

Great song from an awesome talent! For those of you who refuse to support across genres, or are in denial about Cassadee's sound, the first two singles are two of her most genuinely country tunes. 11 comes to mind as well. Most of the album has country influence.

Melissa Spaulding yea I know how you feel. My ex made my life hell. Drug me around and made me feel worthless, used me, controlled everything I did. It's probably hard to see now but, just trust me. Give it time and try not to think about it
If country need a vein to follow this is it...reminds me of country in the 70` to early 80`s or so with just enough flash to hold the kids attention...and to all the ole timers just listen to the lyrics, it aint bad at all

For the life of me, I don't understand why this video doesn't have millions of hits. Cassadee is pretty and can act but most importantly, she can sing.. very well in fact. Lisa, have you seen her "Wasting all these tears" video? Those high notes at 3:03 are chilling. I think that country music is definitely her forte. Well done Cassadee! When are you coming down to Key West?
Why is she is so underrated?? I would say She is currently one of the best female artists in the music industry. Her music needs to reach across the world
