I was at J6. The percentage of bad apples were small, very small! But for the sake of making political hay, we all got branded as insurrectionists. That's some real dirty political hay. I think there was a fight between the proud boys and capitol police on the west side before the large crowd got there. We had no idea there had been a scuffle. We arrived afterwards, in great mass, on the west side of the building. I was at the front just one row back from the police line. I had a good visual on the crowd. The crowd was peaceful. They were not throwing rocks, bottles, or even insults. They were truly peaceful, holding their signs and talking among themselves. I was videoing them with my phone, panning the crowd from end to end and back again when the first flash-grenade came flying in. I actually caught it on video, the flash of the explosion, and if you look at the video frame by frame, you can see its debris flying into the crowd. It shocked us, and someone cried out, "What was that all about?" I caught it all on video. I took more video, people in the crowd were pointing at the DHS agent on the balcony that had fired the first grenade. Then all heck broke loose as flash grenades, rubber bullets, and gas bombs came raining in on the crowd. We tried to hold our ground. We were shouting, "This is our house! This is our house!" We kept trying to hold our ground. We did not want to be driven off like dogs. They kept attacking. Finally, we fought back because we are Americans and we do not allow tyrants to treat us like vermine. But even when we drove off our attackers, we sought no retribution but simply returned to peace and calm. I got it all on video. A few weeks later I got a visit from the FBI. I gave them copies of my videos. The field agents can do a good and professional job collecting evidence, but when the people in DC are only interested in keeping power and control, there will be no justice. At this point, the lies have so blown me away, the best thing I can do is thank God for opening my eyes. There's a reason why Jesus loved and walked with the humble, and spoke truth to power.
