Cassidy is telling the truth... I had a dream when i was 19 and been in music since before that. U got guys that write their whole song, but really be taking different elements from ninjas around them in the stu. He's correct... Some dudes can pen their tails off, but lack creative concepts and cadences... They lack the understanding of pop structure, cant write engaging hooksz etc... Technically they're sponging off dudes, but not necessarily having it "written" for them because the amalgamation of the final record is like an infinity gauntlet vs just having each individual stone on their own.

I been saying since the beginning this is a wack ass battle. I hate that i like kendrick more then drake. And i got drake winning. This is like watching a pillow fight, to a knife fight comparing this to battle rap.
Speaking for myself, I haven’t missed Cassidy in battle rap, the same way I didn’t miss him from hip hop. Cass is good at rhyming words but he’s never said anything that moved me or made me rewind to listen again. He’s nice with the words but I don’t feel like he was ever essential to the culture. He’s just a good emcee who believes in himself. I rock with confidence. Everybody should feel about themselves the way he does. If my life was on the line and I needed someone to drop a 16 on the spot, I’m calling Cass because I know he has bars for days. If I need someone to write something powerful, insightful, with substance, it ain’t gonna be him.
