Cassowaries are like what Pokémon starters really are: adorable babies, slightly tougher but still cute juveniles, and then straight up beast mode adults 😂
@@kairi4640 They don't do so often (they're not very aggressive), and even when they attack it's extremely rare for them to kick, and rarer still for them to utilize the enlarged claw on their inner toe with which they can inflict fatal injuries. Give them a wide berth, especially fathers with juveniles (they're the smaller, plain looking ones), and do not feed them.
Reminds me of baby crocodiles and alligators. All of these animals start off cute and make squeak toy sounds then next thing you know they grow up to make low pitched grumbling sounds and will rip you apart.
Bruh if I knew this thing was a Cassowary I would be too scared to be filming it like this. Idk where it's mother is and I don't want my guts kicked out.
Look at it. Now I know why scientists say birds are dinosaurs. If you imagine it without the fluff (though real dinosaurs were fluffy), and pretend the beak has teeth in it (though many dinosaurs lacked teeth), it's 100% a dinosaur.
they called me mad, mad for what? dreaming of a race of atomic super cassowaries with radioactive claws that can slash appart entire mountains!!!. but seriously I wouldent mind taking care of these birds for a living.
I want a giant mutant cassowary that has a crest that can emit soundwaves powerful enough to shatter entire mountains and decimate an entire population by shattering all their bones/exoskeletons and organs
Wild cassowary chick? I hope the mum or dad wasn't too upset about the human being that close to their baby. We live in Western Australia and went to north Queensland (east coast Australia) to visit family a few years ago. Went to one of the beaches and there was this huge building, looked like 2 story but might have just been a tall 1 story. I think it was beach amenities (showers, toilets, etc.). My mum and aunt went into the toilets while the rest of us sat in the car, and an adult cassowary just... EMERGED from the bushes. It was so creepy, like watching a dinosaur emerge from the thicket in Jurassic Park. They are so unique and primal looking, ostriches and emus just look like goofy giant birds but cassowaries are something else.
