In the nutcracker that I normally see whoever gets Clara is either in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade and one of my friends was Clara when she was 11 years old!
Not as a dancer but my first theatre role, I was 9 and I auditioned for my school show, all I wanted was to be in choir, I don’t remember how far out we were into show but it was definitely after roles were cast and someone who was casted as a sister dropped out and my teacher said me off book for lyrics and she ask me to step into role before I could say yes she gave it to me
Congrats on a superb show. Glad Ellie made it as Clara. Rachel so beautiful to watch. So pleased you both got this chance. Take care and see more of you all in 2024
That's so awesome that Rachel got to do Clara again. I know how much she loved that role. It's also awesome Ellie got a turn to see what it feels like. ❤❤❤❤
So this role normally gets done by 18 year olds, but Ellie at 14 got the part. That must mean she is becoming an amazing dancer. And of course Rachel is wonderful. And doing different kind of shows and learning a whole ballet in so little time. WOW!
Yeah I think it just depends on the performance. If Clara is doing point work and pas de deux then it makes sense for it to be done by a teenager or a young adult. But if the dance is a lot more simple than it could be done by an 8 or 9-year-old since Clara is about that age in the show
Go Ellie!!!! You did so great, especially not having really partnered before! So impressive!!!! I think this was probably one of the most special Clara stories, one to remember for sure 😊 Rachel, you looked so confident and comfortable on stage. Showing true professionalism.
So proud of your last minute Clara debuts you all look gorgeous! Thank you for taking us along with you. Now rest❤Have a Happy , healthy, and peaceful New Year!!!

Elliana has grown up so much this year … an absolutely stunning young dancer . You girls must make your parents so proud . I can only imagine how much work your parents put in to allow you to follow your dreams !,, Happy new Year to you all! 🎉🎉
Congratulations to you both. Especially pleased for Ellie who has been wanting this for so long. You both danced beautifully. Amazing that that was Ellie's first time dancing with a partner - she looked so comfortable. Well done and Happy New Year to ALL the Quiner sisters (and whole family!) I love watching your videos.🎄🎄
I am so impressed that you were both able to learn the entire part of Clara in a few days. I can't even begin to imagine how much effort that took. You made it look easy. Congratulations 🎊.
Congrats Rachel and Ellie! I was overwhelmed with happiness seeing both of you performed as Clara. I can feel tears from my eyes. Again, double congratulations!!

Congratulations to both of you!!! You both did amazing, especially for learning it in such a short time!! Ellie, I’m so glad you finally got to do Clara. And Rachel, I’m so glad you could do your favorite role again. Clara is such a great role and it is my dream role! Great job!
Congrats Ellie on your debut as Clara!! ❤ And congratulations to Rachel too! It must've been so stressful trying to learn the part in such a short amount of time. You both were so graceful and amazing ❤❤ Thank you for sharing :)
I love that Ellie was able to do the part at such a young age and that she was able to perform as Clara though part of me wishes that Ellie was able to be Clara more than once.
Wow! Sometimes things happen for a reason. Congrats Rachel and Ellie!! You both are such phenomenal dancers it’s amazing how you remembered the choreography with such little time but made it seem as you had practiced it for months! 🩷
You two are living my dream. You both did great! I used to constantly draw dancers. Now I’m 62 and after watching you guys, I do a few moves in the kitchen! lol
this is so amazing! i’ve been watching yall forever! i’m a retired ballet performer but i did the nutcracker for 7 years and it is by far my favorite ballet! you girls did great! ❤️❤️💕
This is so difficult! You did amazing! I remember when I was thrown into a show last minute with only 24 hours to learn the part and I had to perform with partnering for 6 shows. The first show was ROUGH but once that got out of my way I went through my mental notes and it became a piece of cake.
You are all such beautiful dancers! Wonderful seeing both of you as Clara! Question for you guys: why ABT vs NYCB? Not sure if it’s been mentioned in any of your videos… I know they are pretty different styles but wondering why none of you ever did any NYCB stuff. Or if you ever would?
Thank you! Elliana has done SAB’s summer intensive before and has been accepted into their year-round school. We prefer a more classical method than Balanchine and really like ABT’s rep. We think both companies are outstanding! ABT has always been our favorite in NYC though.🤍
Congratulations to you both on a cracker Nutcracker season (pun intended 😊) CONGRATULATIONS to Ellie on your Clara debut. I found myself holding my breath for you all through that part of the vlog. You are both so professional & incredible dancers, an absolute joy to watch with such bright futures for 2024 & beyond. Thank you for sharing your experience with the world through these vlogs 🌎
You both were so amazing! I remember as a clown i would always watch Clara run to the swan boat after they exit the stage!!! You guys did so so amazing!!!
I deeply love the Nutcracker. One of my favorite ballots and every December as a family tradition I always go and see it at my hometown's Grand theater and see it twice. I understand the passion and beauty and romance of the play very well. You both played Clara very well. You're dancing was very graceful. 👏👏🌹🎩 I love the hairstyle and the costumes very well because it's set during my favorite time period...the Victorian era and I reenact the period too.
