My dad loves this music and I played this for his funeral and it was beautiful it felt like he was there with me helping me with piano I hope you guys won't lose your love ones , and I want to say today is his birthday am so happy every time a see a picture of a love one it makes me smile like that we're there with for everyone each day .

Silvestri purposefully held back with any score in the movie until he looks back at the island after he makes it over the wave-that’s half way through the movie without any score at all. Then bam!!! The score hits and it’s bone chilling. I don’t think it could have been more emotional. Amazing.
Absolutely correct glenc100 , He had just gotten over the last wave in his raft and was looking back at the island thinking there was no return for him , Wilson , or his raft at that point . The music was so riveting that I shuddered with a cold sweat . Silverstri is a musical genius !
Brings me to tears every time. From being hopeless to making the decision to survive. Just to make it home and lose your love all over again. Then to find hope again at the end.....
I lost my wife recently. We We’re only together a few years. After all the pain I’m finally accepting that I need to keep going. For our little boy and for me.
Just so beautiful......So many of us can be lost on an island, alone, grieving and remembering a time in our lives when we were truly loved and happy. And then We cling to something.to help us survive. ....We all cling to our "Wilsons" so tightly and don't let them go. But, only then, we can't hold on forever and we lose again. Another grief, another pain.
