Saw Cast supporting Paul Heaton last night at Cardiff Castle and they were superb. The new songs were great and shows good song writers are always good song writers. Amazing drum sound, although everything was even and clear.
Seen John power at Stockton on Tees festival 2008. He was going solo. In the 90's when everyone was bumming oasis I was giving my soul to CAST...... yessaa!!!!
Wow, this is so emotional, remember this song, when I was in Year 11, in 1997- always felt so guilty, after suffering from chronic abuse, and still used to listen to this song, to cheer me up, but was still being torn apart!
Used to listen to this when I lived in Slough, I'd just finished uni and first job I got was in Slough. I was so homesick whenever I heard John Power's voice I'd start crying. Glad to be home!

@@Paul-dn2bj Haha yes Paul! I'm only 23 mate but seen Cast a couple times, the All Change anniversary tour was ace. Yeah I agree man, there's the odd band that stand out but as for all the drill/rap bollox can't be doing with it.
Still sounds great I remember this was a stand alone relese at there hight, I have the cassette single still & this had Canter as it's b-side, easily my favourite song of theirs. Psychedelic
Awh that's a pity. I'm going to see them with Liam tomorrow night. Actually as excited to see them as Liam. I saw them in 1997 twice, supporting Pulp and at Reading Festival. Saw John Power solo about 10 years ago. This was their biggest hit although they are probably more known for Walkaway.

It seems like all of Cast's best known singles are lyrically autobiographical / instructive to others about John Power choosing to leave The La's to get his own songwriting properly heard.
