I don't get it how does the bottom part of the net closes. I can see the rope that connects to the upper part of the net but can't comprehend how the bottom edges scoop up ?
@@mixmastermaverick3336 uh yes it does. The weights ensures that the net is taught and therefore as the net is lifted the weights force the net to close on itself since they’re heavier than the fabric of the net
Actually there is a hole at the top of cast net that passes a bunch of threads which connects the bottom weights. So when you throw the weights spread out the net Evenly . When you lift up after the weight reaches the bottom the connected string is what we are pulling at, thus the net scoops up the fish in that net area. I hope I explained well for you to understand.

It’s always good to let a little tension off the net every few pulls the scare the fish that trying to escape through the bottom to go up. Perfect throw!
i thought u let the whole net sit at the bottom then pull hard so the outer net connects in a dot and then all the fishes that are over the net get trapped im dumb
How big was that net? Tried a 4' one on a ball of herring on the surface the other day and it did horribly basically just scared the fish before it even had time to sink and net some.
