What Timothy was said was true. We are all products of our families and relationships, but going beyond that, we are a product of every single person and event that we have encountered in our lives--whether it took seconds, minutes, hours, or however long. We were all introduced different ideas and perspectives, and not only that, but the timing of learning it all is crucial. Learning different ideas at specific points in our journey of growth can be life-changing. This was why I found empathy in my heart for the school shooter Nikolas Cruz of the Parkland Florida shooting a year or two ago. He was a product of all we had just mentioned. His lack of friendship, his family, the ideas implanted into his brain by whichever influence he got it from. If we were put under the same conditions, birthed into that same family in that same time period, and we're given every single circumstance he was given, we could have easily been a school shooter ourselves. But since we had the upbringing we had, our response to every single one of the circumstance he faced would be different. It does not make us superior. It just means we were fortunate enough to have the upbringing we had-- which was pure luck. When the shooting happened, people on Twitter were saying they were bullied, but they never thought of shooting a school. That's the thing though. While bullying is one of the problems, it's much more than that. Every single circumstance in Nikolas's life made him the way he was. Some bullied people have friends to rely on, even if not many, or loving parents or something. Some kids have nothing. It's easy to say you wouldn't have done what Nikolas did because you don't understand every little detail that put him there. All that aside, while I do empathize with Nikolas Cruz, I say tough shit. I understand that certain horrible events brought him that dark place, but that is not justification enough. There are consequences to illegal actions, and claiming mental health is your excuse is not good enough. Otherwise mental health can be used as an excuse for every single crime under the sun. That said, in relation to what Timothy said, Monty deserves no redemption. He was a good boy, but due to the circumstances he grew up with, he turned out a piece of shit person who raped Tyler. He deserves to go to jail. Maybe not death, but prison. If he were a real person-- which I'm sure there are many that can relate to Monty-- i would feel sorry for everything that led up to the crime, but I would still expect law enforcement to do their job and arrest guilty people. Same thing with Bryce. He raped teenage girls, and one of them committed suicide. Even if Bryce wanted redemption, he doesn't deserve it. People can change. I believe rapists can change, but I think their heart and soul will be irreparably stained. I think this show successfully made audience members feel sorry for Bryce. I sure did feel sorry for him. But that should not take away from the fact that Bryce was a rapist. Even if Bryce found it in himself to do better, what about the people he raped? Shit like that isn't light. That shit can ruin people's lives. It can ruin their ability to trust, to love, to express emotion, to find happiness, and so on. To anyone who's never been raped, it's all words, and you don't really understand what it's like to want to trust or love or to be happy, but can't for reasons you can't comprehend. You fuck up someone's life. So fuck redemption. Even if Bryce wanted to change, the damage he did is irreversible. Also, can we talk about Tyler Down? I love Tyler Down as a character. His rape scene truly covered me with chills and had me fucked up. I think his growth in Season 3 was satisfactory. He was able to somewhat own who he was and accept himself, and he learned to take his power back, as Jessica had been saying all along. BUT, here was my problem. With the whole Tyler Down thing, I think the writers made a mistake. Tyler Down almost shot up a school. Clay and friends hid it, protected Tyler, and lied for him. They never told any adult or law enforcement about what Tyler almost did, and in the conclusion of Season 3, Tyler was all better and everything worked out. That's not a good message to give young people, and I think it was a mistake. 13 Reasons Why claims they want the show to talk about real issues. Great. But writing something like that where an almost school shooter doesn't get in trouble doesn't give a good message. The show showed the audience that people who are willing to go the extreme of massacring teenagers are easily fixed by their friends. That proper help isn't needed because friends' company is enough. That's not realistic. You have to be extremely mentally messed up to even go through shooting up a school. That's something that requires professional help. When it came to people saying 13RW glamorized suicide, that was false. It was a matter of perception, and the 13RW writers simply wrote what would happen. The glamorization angle was subjective and it had more to do with the idea of leaving tapes than the actual plot. The glamorizing of school shooting or at least attempting it was there because Tyler objectively-speaking never got in trouble. The writers did not realistically write would happen. They wrote biasedly as if a group of teenage kids could fix a mentally-broken boy on their own. You realize Clay never paid any emotional attention to Tyler until Mr Porter said something? Or Jessica didn't care until Tyler told her he was raped. They all just walked him places. Haven't you heard of feeling alone in a crowded space? Or people with anxiety or depression would likely be insecure that they're being a burden. None of the group of friends did anything meaningful to Tyler to even convince the audience they could fix Tyler.

I feel for Monty and Bryce...they did terrible things but no one deserves to die

I’m very surprised they didn’t have Nora Walker (Bryce’s Mom) be the narrator for Season 3. I mean, Mrs. Walker’s actress, Brenda Strong is an award-winning narrator for her brilliant work on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives” and Discovery Channel’s “Blood Relatives.” What a wasted opportunity!

The people who see Monty's human side and being a product of his family live are quite correct. I noticed in the beginning of season 2 that no one, no one! said anything about him, being beaten with a hammer and being forced to sleep under a bridge as a refugee basically. Oo. I thought, do you WANT Monty becoming a monster? Because that's how you get one.

This season is taking way too long to end. Ani and Clay are really annoying. The storyline for each character becomes a little lame.. sorry guys, you tried and the show certainly opens up a lot of conversations, but this was a boring season..

Katherine langford was hot...The only one....and that is why the show went downhill after her departure from the show....
