Tip for Mistaic is move around. Fish the dam back and forth with baits that cover water. Spinners and other metal. Stprzz pin them on shoreline. When u find the zone. Mini jig or balanced leech flies on an indo ie bobber. Keep a big bait ready. Those are on that shoreline cause they move off and their banged. Aloha

The trout must have spread out from west ramp at this point. I went today, fished hard 7am-2pm and got skunked. I’m not the most experienced fisherman but most people out there got skunked too.

I might be wrong. but I think the only time you can get on a good batch of trout at castiac is stock day or if you find them. After that it gets kinda slow, which is weird because they stock 5000lbs. But then when pyramid stocks 5000lb, the bite is good for like a week or so🤔? I was at castiac on Tuesday the day they stocked it was wide open, then I went on Thursday and only caught one it seems like the trout have spread out.
