Castelli, province of Teramo in Abruzzo, is renowned for its decorative ceramic, and from the 16 century through to 18th century the ceramics from Castelli were collected by the European and Russian nobility. There is even a collection of Castelli ceramics at the Winter Palace of the Hermitage State Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. Castelli is still revered today for its beautiful ceramics and the medieval town is dotted with little studios.
