I'm a dad who is just about to buy my 9 year old son his first kart and I'm having to watch videos to learn about kart maintenance and I don't mind getting my hands dirty but have to say this is absolutely terrifying me the amount of setting up and maintenance that is needed to get something ready that looks like a shopping trolley that was run over and squashed by a 40 ton lorry and then someone said you know what that would make a great race kart let's stick a engine, seat and wheels on it.

Quick tip on putting the pieces together. Use a t-bar from the bottom to line up and hold everything. Then slide the king pin in from the top.

How important is it to adjust toe and camber with the driver in the kart or weight?

A kart part dealer we know whose been around for a while suggests we do it. In saying that, if you look at the bigger teams not a single one of them will do it. Having no suspension, it doesn’t vary much at all with extra weight (the driver).
