Why is Abby Steiner in your header with “She’s A Cheater”? To use her in this manner should get you banned from further videos. Abby would never make a comment like that, not to mention that Semenya doesn’t even do the same events. Abby is not your click bait and you should be ashamed of making people think that she would involve herself in this controversial topic. She is all class. Something you are not…Remove her photo or get your attorney prepared for a defamation law suit.
So she was born a woman, and has to go thru all of this ridiculousness. But they actually let a male born athlete compete against women in the swimming events last year. Without any of the ridiculousness. This is an outrage.
Semenya is intersex and not eligible to complete with naturally born women.even an hermaphrodite with outward female genetalia to the outside eye but internal male organs like internal testes and male hormones could be misrepresented as female by what they see... that's the case with caster semenya
Caster Semenya has 46XY chromosomes and is a biological male. Unfortunately, Semenya's condition (5 alpha reductase deficiency) resulted in ambiguous genitalia at birth and so Semenya was incorrectly thought to be a girl instead of actually being a boy. This question will help you figure out what is going on: What organs do you think are responsible for producing Semenya's high testosterone levels? (here is a clue - Semenya has 2 of them like most other biological males).
They even let a male (transgender woman) compete against natural born females in weightlifting at the Tokyo Olympics. That "too much testosterone" nonsense is to obstruct African female athletes from dominating the sport so that white female athletes have a chance to win.
You see, Athletic Federation tried to bar all XY people with working testes from all the female categories. Semenya, one person with XY and working testes, said that was discriminatory and won. The Athletic Federation allowed him to participate, then got more data on it on the 400m track, in which it was proved that XY people with working testes have an unfair advantage, but the Athletic Federation only has proof on the 400m, so Semenya was allowed to participate in other tracks. I'm of the idea that any male should be barred from the female category, not mattering how mediocre he is compared to other men. But alas, thanks to Semenya every sport has to submit proof in every single category to show that a man has unfair advantage on that single category but still be allowed to participate in another one.
Semenya has the XY chromosome, so Caster was born a male. Even though Caster was brought up as a female, that's not the issue. The extra muscularity from the testosterone gives Caster an advantage over the women.
@@willanvanzyl1669 Even Michael’s coach Bob Bowman said that was overstated and that all top male swimmers have these physical attributes and michael was no different
@@willanvanzyl1669 I see this fruitless comparison all the time. Phelps is a male competing against other men. Semenya is intersex competing against women. Big difference...
It's not that simple, please try to read and at the least go do some research. It's like putting Usain Bolt against elementary kids, she and the rare people like her simply have an unfair advantage because of their absurdly high none PED testosterone levels. You could say end of story but it's just the beginning of ensuring a level playing field. There won't be a guy who came in last in the men's race today, gender swap and comeback to dominate races with the women because of his higher testosterone. So altho this is a sad story for these athletes rules like these must be implemented if you want to maintain some integrity.
@@emotionalintelligence776 nah i think it is simple..women should compete against women..if she's a biological woman..she should be allowed to compete..it is that simple..granted that she is a biological woman if shes not then dont let her compete..as long as she is a biological woman and her advantage isnt artifical i dont think its fair to not let her compete
@@emotionalintelligence776 it’s simple if you don’t have talent in sports just quit and find another passion. I used to play soccer and I wasn’t quick enough so I quit and went to school today I’m working comfy. Sports is not for everyone that’s why we have G.O.A.T and normal players.
@@tumim8271 That's the problem, she has incredible talent. Unfortunately, the argument is that Talent comes from her high teste count, and no matter how you calculate the problem a higher test gives you an advantage.
She is XY, full of testosterone, (not her fault), and even if she identifies herself as a woman, she SHOULD NOT be allowed to compete with women. Actually she shouldnt have wanted that if she was a fair, classy person.
*All of this discrimination against women bodies never happened until transgender athletes started competing in women's sports. And now natural women must have their hard work and dreams crushed because nobody wants to stand up to the overreach of transgenders... Not meaning to drop bombs on the trans athlete community but why not demand your own group category like the many group categories for athletes with disabilities.*
Yea i was shocked for people to think women with high testo don't have womb and vagina they put them in Trans category which is crazy. It's like giving birth to a Baby boy when he turns 18 and start dating other boys people think now she's a girl. Gays & Lesbians have been there for years we had no issues until Transgender came to sports. I agree with you there.
Yup those trans people need their own category but they like to cry and they want equal rights please. I have nothing against them but when it comes to sports I have an issue
Agree, "Intersex" is a recognized gender. Why not have an Intersex category and have them compete against each other? From the comments, it seems like they are quite a few with this condition.
is a natural woman, more man than woman, is a two headed baby natural, is one natural, or unnatural and what about a Hermaphrodite. A woman with more male hormones is going to be stronger than a NATURAL FEMALE. You don't put a one leg person in race with two legged runners.
@@geraldinemoss2380 everyone isn’t born equally but they were born that way. in the men event aren’t some men stronger than others yet they still compete without saying you’re too masculine or have more x or Y chromosomes or testosterone
@@andresmith6029 you can look up her intersex condition, 5α-Reductase 2 deficiency. It’s likely she even has viable sperm. Most ppl born like this are thought to be girls at birth because their penis doesn’t form properly, but they are still biologically male. Ppl are confused because these videos never mention her actual condition. She has lived as a women her whole life because that’s what she was thought to be, but turns out she is biologically a male and has the advantage over biological females as any other male. It is truly unfortunate for her but it’s simply not fair for her to compete with females.
These athletes with DSD, who have XY chromosomes and high testosterone levels over what's permissible should not be allowed to compete against those with XX chromosomes with acceptable levels of testosterone. To remedy this, a new category should be created for such athletes.
So who defines the level of testertorone in a lady athlete then? Are all the ladies competing at the same level of testosterone?lf no,that won't be fair on one with the lowest testosterone level either...
@@suntanglory Testosterone levels enhance female sports performance. Cisgender women that have high testosterone also have some differences of sex development (DSD) which can make their hormones, genes, and reproductive organs have both male and female characteristics. Therefore, the IAAF regulations state that female athletes with levels of circulating testosterone (in serum) are five (5) nmol/L or above and whose bodies respond to such sex hormones, must lower their testosterone levels to compete in women's track events from 400m to 1 mile.
@@louismartin4078 You are spot on. The IAAF says its DSD Regulations, apply to legally female or intersex athletes who have: XY sex chromosomes Testes instead of ovaries A blood testosterone level "in the male range" Androgen-sensitive. These athletes cannot take part in women's races from 400m to one mile, The IAAF insists the DSD Regulations are necessary "to ensure FAIR and MEANINGFUL competition within the female classification, for the benefit of the broad class of female athletes."
Some women are born more stronger than others. She shouldn’t have to alter herself to compete against other women. She’s strong, so what!!!!! What other women wish to have, she have it naturally!!!!! They want you to do good but not great? What kind of hell is this world we live in?
@@WolfHeathen Intersex is a group of conditions in which there is a discrepancy between the external genitals and the internal genitals (the testes and ovaries). Therefore, when a person has both male and female sex characteristics, including genitalia, hormones, chromosomes, and reproductive organs, then such variations do not meet the typical binary idea of male or female, then that person can be deemed as "Intersex."
You're totally right we have a special Olympics for retarded and we have a paraplegic Olympics for people in wheelchairs so that's a very good idea that makes common sense except for the people that must accept it will not accept it because they have no interior motive which is a sneak into the woman's locker room and expose yourself without penalty
He was born a baby boy who was misidentified as a baby girl. They raised him as a female, but he is a full grown man now. He should race against other full grown men.
Unlike some transgender females who are allowed to compete unfairly in women's swimming, Caster was born female; she may have an edge over some women, just as 7ft+ basketball players have over most other basketball players. The humiliation this woman has had to go through is due to nothing other than racism.
she was born with an xy chromosome meaning she is biologically a man. since she is a man and has a genetic advantage in every shape over women it is different to just being tall. that's like putting Usain bolt in the women heats and saying he doesn't have an advantage. they both have similar genetics, they both are biologically men
Hopefully these issues will be given more attention than just banning Athletes for what they cannot control, especially when PED users have been caught, banned and permitted to return to their event.
'...cannot control'????????!!!!!!!!!!! They certainly can control! For example, by having their testicles removed (internal or external) and reducing their unacceptably high levels of male hormone.
Nobody dares to ask the question how come no man look like females and do well but it's only men that look like females to do well much like Leah Thompson the NCAA swimmer
She most certainly should not be punished. The point though, is that biological women should not be punished for being biological women. What we need is perhaps a separate category for people with DSDs, so they can participate in fair competition.
What they did to caster was not fair. She was born like that infact Caster is just ok compared to girls I played with back in my teen days. There was this girl who used play soccer with us and she was so strong that she played bare foot while others had footwear. It’s life some people are stronger than others you watch Survivor seasons and you can tell tough women competing against men. And you also have softy men now are you gonna tell them to take steroids so that they can toughen up. It’s just crazy…
Leave her alone, if she was pink this would not be happening. It's ok to allow a pink man, born a man, swim with women before someone finally protest. One standard for black, one for pink. Dam disgrace
Stop playing the race card. It's petty, ignorant, and childish. Lia Thomas was an issue of identity politics and virtue signalling. Lia Thomas should've never been allowed to compete with women in the first place. That's clear as day. Caster Semenya, however, isn't a man pretending to be an woman. She could, at least biologically, be considered male since she has XY chromosomes. It has nothing to do with the artificial assignment of gender because of subjective gender identity. That fact makes her case extremely complicated.
Semenya was born a WOMAN. Why can't she compete with woman.so many female athletes looks like males competing in different track and field events...so unfair
She wasn't. She was assigned female gender at birth. That has nothing to do with her actual gender since the doctor delivering her doesn't have access to genetic information when making that decision. The XY chromosome makes her male. Her genetic mutation is 5α-Reductase 2 deficiency, which only affects genetic males. Therefor she is a man.
They always make up rules when we excel. They did the same in cricket. They will put trans women in sports but a real woman can’t run . These people sick and want running out of earth.
There are 3 that come to mind. Two I remember by name. #1 Christine Mboma and Beatricr Masilingi, both from Namibia .. I just can't remember the name of the other person I have in my mind.
Why is it so easy to accept a *male* athlete who naturally has a *high level of Testosterone and posses XY Chromosomes* to compete as a *female* after he changes his sex? However, we find it is so hard to accept a female athlete who was *born* with *high levels of Testosterone and male organs, to compete as a female?* 🤔
IIF THE WORLD HAD SPACE FOR THE THIRD GENGER,SEMENYA WOULD NOT HAVE SUFFERED SUCH HUMILIATION.SHE COULD COMFORTABLE COMPETE WITH HER TYPE.WE ARE ALL GOD CREATION
What about the gold medals Semenya won before? What about those women that got 4th or 3rd or 2nd to her that did not have this 46XY genetic makeup when those that had it were allowed to compete..and it was not just Semenya that won medals in Rio, that had this genetic advantage. Genetically they are male, just viewed as female because organs are not where they normally are (more or less). This is a messy topic. Lucky for those women today the Athings and Katies that can actually get a medal right now.
Why is an individual's genetic make up his/her fault? We should therefore ask tall teenagers- basketball players to take drugs in order to stunt their growths.
@@naturalblockade3412 Tall does not necessarily = basketball skills - so not a good comparison. This is not really to do with fault - it is to do with testosterone. How much is considered fair in certain female sports/competition. Genetic or not.

I'm so happy to see Caster back on the track. She is a true champion. I saw her run the 5000 m race. 13th place, OK. She was happy with it, and he let the sport know she is still here. I think she would do well in 1500 m. GO CASTER.

It's genetically advantage it's not cheating.
The reason why there are male and female divisions is because genetically, men are superior in all aspects of physicality. I am not faulting Semenya, (and it has to be disconcerting to be raised entirely female and then at puberty, masculine -stronger, faster, bigger- traits develop), but genetically female runners cannot compete on a level playing field with someone who has the masculine development of Semenya. There are several world class athletes born with this genetic makeup so perhaps there should be another division-and one for trans athletes too. As far as Michael Phelps....and others-he was not genetically (sex chromosones) different than his competitors, he was just gifted WITH-IN his sex.
This bias against this African athlete is obvious and it is damaging to the sport of athletics. When they allow athletes that were born as men to compete with women while only difference is the color of their skin. I am even surprised at Sébastien Coe as I believe that he is behind these decisions. He should be removed. He bias is unacceptable especially in today's world.
There's no bias against an African athlete. The issue is quite simple and if you actually LOOK at Him you'll see quite clearly there's no Female in there. He was born with internal male genitalia and is therefore sterile. But because pre-modern cultures don't immediately see these things they just assume if there's nothing outside hanging it's a female. Basic anatomy shows this isn't always the case. The difference in muscle mass, bone size and density, and the complete lack of anything that puberty would produce for females shouldn't even make this a difficult question. If he wants to run let him run against MEN.
Look up Stella Walsh who set all sorts of records in the past Olympics. She was white, but the science wasn't there when she was competing. It was only upon her death, that they discovered her inter-sex situation. I bet there were countless others who themselves did not know their condition but could outrun, outthrow, etc, etc every gal in sight. I hate to think race has something to do with this-if there was a caucasian woman athlete with this anomoly (and with sheer numbers, there is bound to be one someone sometime) I would hope the same concerns would arise.
They allowed Semenya to participate out of racism. South Africa was a black country, so they weren't smart enough to figure out they were sending males to female category. That was the mindset behind allowing Semenya to participate. And South Africa knew it, bet on it, got money out of it and cheated other countries out of the podium, not only European and North American countries, also true third world countries who never thought of cheating that way.
Until recently in western countries babies born like this would have their testicles removed to avoid the problems associated with male puberty. It's not a racial issue.
@@around32 What part of XY don't you understand? Just because Semenya has female external genitalia doesn't make Semenya a woman. Internally Semenya is male with male chromosomes, looks like a male, sounds like a male and presents like a male, just look at the uniform Semenya wears.
If they dont want Caster to compete ... then they should consider all other characteristics that are advantageous in track events such as height, length of paces etc... then there wont be any events coz taller athletes are at an advantage then... otherwise a girl is a girl.. and a boy is a boy... finish... even among the ladies others have a higher testosterone level... so who determines the cut off point? Caster Semenya was demonized and unsexed because these people said that girl was a man. I remember when it all went down. It was the most disgusting and humiliating thing done to her. She was 19 at the time if memory serves. But in the US we have males who identify as women competing in biological female sports. I wish Caster had sued when they did that to her. Her career has suffered because of this inhumane treatment. She is not a damn man.
You say that so why not prove it to all the haters so she can give them all the middle finger, she would also have a legitimate case to say I don’t want hormones blockers. The more doubt she leaves on the table the more every doubter will put question Marks on her past accomplishments. Everybody is speculating now she can’t compete maybe next olympics , or has to take blockers and for what? Because she feels embarrassed ? please . We are talking about athletes who have to pee with someone standing next to them. Throughout their career. If she is saying the truth this seems so incredible stupid to me , I think this is a lance Armstrong story we’re lance also said no you need to prove I am guilty I don’t have to do that for you ! Just give m what they want you know you are not lying then just get out of you’re own way blaming everybody but yourself. This isn’t a trial unless you make it one. And then you can get on to the next Olympics and you get to laugh at all the doubters.
She isn't a cheat. She didn't choose to be born this way, but it is unfair that she competes. The rule is arbitrary, but nobody with testes should be allowed to compete in women's events and nobody with a Y chromosome. Naturally high testosterone is a natural advantage, which should not be contained, that is no different to Phelps having big hands. It is not acceptable to penalise men with naturally high testosterone nor is it acceptable to penalise such women.
Caste is a Male, with internal male genitalia. It's understandable that pre-modern cultures would initially think he was female but by the time puberty hit it was quite clear that He was a He.
With internal testicles dont know of any natural women with that advantage. If she wanted to compete fairly then she reduce her testosterone levels to below the legal limit. She refused so she doesn't get to compete
This is truly outrageous given tht a transgender male was allowed to take part on a female swimming race!!! The fact is she was born n raised as a girl!!!!

And of course you would know by now, that he doesn't want to do any more Gender tests????? just saying
Simon Lawrence You apparently haven't been paying attention. Firstly there is no hate for these people who are like Caster, either in the black or white communities. There is simply logical annoyance due to the absurdness of biological males competing against biological females in sports. Has happened evenly against white people and black people who are trying to push the envelope. Just more woke nonsense to upset the 95% majority of sane people.
As Peter Sonksen and Daryl Adair pointed out in a recent article, a study investigating the hormone profiles of female and male athletes found that the IAAF rule was based on bogus science. This study measured hormone profiles, including testosterone, from a sample of 693 elite athletes across 15 sporting categories. The authors note that many unexpected findings emerged in the study: 16.5% of men had a testosterone level below 8.4 nanomole per litre (the lower limit of the normal male reference range). Some were unmeasurably low. And 13.7% of the elite female athletes had a level higher than 2.7nmol/l, the upper limit of the normal reference range for women. Some were in the high male range. Thus, there was a complete overlap of testosterone levels between male and female elite athletes. This challenged existing knowledge, which had assumed there was no such overlap. I therefore contend that many of Semenya’s critics (and critics of other women athletes who do not conform perfectly to the deeply entrenched stereotypical notion of how women are supposed to look) are not in the first instance advancing a scientific argument. They might use “scientific langue”, but they are almost certainly channelling (perhaps even without knowing that they are doing this) their deeply entrenched social beliefs about women: about what in essence make somebody a woman; about how they think women are supposed to look; about how they think women should behave. (If I wanted to put on my academic cap and sound clever, I would note that the disciplining male gaze is ever present in all of this). Athletes excel for many different reasons. Biological or genetic characteristics give some athletes an advantage over others, but these are celebrated “as a source of inborn excellence” - as Silvia Camporesi recently pointed out. Why then single out testosterone levels in women when there is no clear evidence that high levels of testosterone in women’s bodies give them an “unfair advantage” over other women? Caster has a Gift Haters will always be haters.
That's not a gift that's a curse and any religion's eyes,, let's see here in 50 years if she bears any children naturally current size will be too polluted from all the chemicals trying to become a man or fake a woman or whatever trying to do there will be no more for a child
Nonsense! The only women who have testosterone levels in the male range are biological males! There are reasons why men are bigger, faster and stronger than women - and it is not all down to testosterone! It's clear to me that you are not interested in the truth. You just want to be right and that is all that matters to you. In fact I doubt you care one jot about Caster, you just want to push your agenda. Take a good look at Margaret Wambui. Wambui has been very open about "her" condition. If you look at Wambui it is clear you are looking at a biological male. Of course, someone in her village will refute this and say Wambui is a female. That person will sound just as ridiculous as you do trying to convince everyone that Semenya is a female when Semenya herself has admitted she is a biological male.
