They work with what little they have. No complaints just get it done, people in the US and Europe always look down on other countries that work that way. I look at them and I admire the talent of what they make with tools they have.
About 40 years ago I visited an iron foundry in Falkirk, Scotland. They were making cast iron baths and railway castings. I thought I had entered hell itself. Compared to this it was paradise!
I agree. I worked at a foundry for 3 years back in the 80's. and though it was a hot, smelly dusty and dirty place to work it too, was like paradise compared to this place.this is the face of cheap imports.
Love their protective gear, those safety invisible goggles and safety sandals are a must. Hard working people deserve a little bit of protection for their health
I just starting working in a casting shop and let me tell u that this type of wrk is NOT for the WEAK!! The fact these dudes are workin w/o any help from heavy equipment or even the basics like SHOES!! I tip my cap to these savages!!
I've read through many of the comments now, and as usual, they are mostly negative. I'm inspired by these workers who are driven by an inspiration that through their hard work that they may build a better life for their children at any expense. It will get better through the sheer determination of people like these. Let's hope that the transformation will happen as quickly as possible.
@@jbbuzzable Thanks for your comments and your concern for their well being. Off course there must be a lot that could be done but to start with what could be the initial elementary steps to ease labour & increase productivity ?
@@edward5979 Yeah, You would be shot at dawn, LOL Hell When we lived in our first home we had no grass and was told to sweep the yard and pull up anything growing((but the flowers). Then when I was ten we moved to a farm and worked from dawn to dusk. Tell a kid to do that now and you would disappear!!!
@@peterdurnien9084 Yes that's the sad part of it. 40 years ago I worked in a foundry and I thought I had it hard back then. It was a breeze compared to this.
Thank God for OSHA in the USA. These men deserve better; they work hard and with diligence . Given our conditions ; these men would really produce even more. God watch over them.
Yips!! Lol as I watched this those were my exact thoughts, but no worries I'm sure this company has a great health care plan for their employees🤦🏾♂️👎🏾☠️.
A small piece of iron cylinder has this much work put into it! It's puzzling to think how humans have built huge metallic structures when making something this small seems to be such an exhausting task!
I do it all the time... small quantities pose little danger. Working next to a massive blast furnace wearing boots and gloves is not better. These will not save you if something goes wrong.
Exactly, I get tired of these comments about OSHA having a stroke about the conditions on this video and it's obvious OSHA does not apply here, they probably have less on the job injuries here than companies regulated by OSHA :)
is this casting cylinder liners? I see the (steel?) core part they left in the sand? Looks way cool anyway. Notice how free of outgassing the metal had? Also the induction furnace. Way cool. Great guys.
@Andrew H because it is harder to cast longer pipes then short ones. just see the work place condition. they are not a high tech smelting and casting shop.
