Awesome video and an awesome castle. That description of doing a melee in there with a few hundred guys, including chopping through the gates and scaling the walls sounds absolutely epic. Is there any chance of that being done again, and you guys being able to take part and film it? I think you'd win the internet if you did that.
Glad you enjoyed it! It was worth the hike, as it was the first time I've ever visited a medieval castle. It's really opened my eyes and brought to light a lot of things. Thanks for the compliment! 😁-Reece
Very cool! Thank you for letting us live vicariously through your journeys, lol! I like your set up, is that bascinet from KoA? If it is the one I'm think of, I was completely surprised by it. I think it's the one Ian LaSpina reviewed on the KoA site, lol.
Thanks! Glad you've enjoyed the content! No, my bascient was made by Maxim from Wild ARmoury. I know of the one you're talking about from KoA and I've heard good things about them. The shape is not too far from historical one :) -Reece
@@pursuingtheknightlyarts6841 Thanks for the reply. Its hard to tell on screen the attention to detail custom pieces have. I also noticed yours has breaths where the KoA item doesnt. Very fun channel, thank you!
Do you know if it was common to build lances with the grooves in the shaft and squared section? I would think it would be much stronger than a round shaft.
Not that I've seen. I believe the round shape is in fact stronger than if it were squared. I recall that old science test of trying to squeeze/crush the egg with your hand. It distributes the force evenly, rather then in a specific area. -Reece
Currently working on that. We don't blame you one bit for not wanting to support them. They may very well give us the boot someday cuz we demonstrate martial arts. When we decide what route to take, we'll create a video on it. We really appreciate you wanting to support this project! We really enjoy educating the community and seeing this grow 😁 -Reece
