I wrote a 20 page google doc when i was in high school on a castle crashers 2 idea. New Knights, new story (idk why but i actually wrote a story), new magic abilities like ultimate abilities. among rescuing princesses youd also rescue the original 4 knights, always liked that idea. I even tried emailing behemoth about it lol, i would love for it to get a sequel.
Honestly if they ever did a sequel it would probably revolve around the necromancer being the main antagonist after he builds up another force to take revenge for the 1st game because it was confirmed he never died, but either way id be content with whatever they decide to do if they did or didn't make another game.
Yeah in that same interview that’s in this video Dan Paladin confirms that the Necromancer is still alive however I think I would prefer an original villain if they made a second game. But the Necromancer as the main antagonist would be awesome.
There's at least one comment In every behemoth post asking for castle crashers 2. They once replied saying it wasn't their next game, and they don't like making the same kind of game

They could make a remaster of the remaster and add cross play alongside with mod support council so everybody can play with PC. I wouldn’t mind buying this game all over again
I think the easiest way to make a castle crashers 2 stand out and feel fresh. s if they make it take place in modern day. it will also help fill their creatiive juices
honestly I think the best course of action would be a short expanded-story DLC with new characters, I've seen character concepts that would be cool to play in-game.

Couod not agree more, I absolutly love that game and played it to death on my ps3, man I miss the ps3 and wii, anyways, the remastered edition is also great and the game feels great to control to this day but something need to be touched and we NEED more levels and things like that
Personally i'd prefer more of a dlc upgrade+story then a sequel. The original is almost perfect so dlc that adds a new story with more characters,orbs & items and upgrade previous characters and items would work better as i'm sure fans would enjoy playing previous levels with newer characters and items like the mod community provides that console players like myself miss out on.
That sounds like a sequel where you could also play the original levels but yeah I would love that idea especially considering that if they were to release a sequel, it might be a large departure from the first game and some players might not want that. Some players just want new levels and new characters. Console players miss out because they cant have mods so anything that that is an official dlc would be awesome because console players could finally have new experiences with the game again.
@@burkejongewaard the problem with sequels is you usually lose old levels for example the fight against the final boss wouldn't come back because it doesn't fit the story. I'd still buy a sequel cause why not and it is true we miss out on great mods like the new yellow knight or the vanilla+ that also seems great. Having a new dlc story would help also to reach level 99 more casually then grinding in insane mode as you usually finish the game in between level 30-50 with a huge gap for insane mode. Either way any new update with the franchise is welcome and overdue. 👍🏼
I don't really think it needs a sequel, it has 100's of hours of content if you do absolutley everything it has to offer, the upcoming DLC is even pushing it, espessially that most people who played the game probably haven't even played hard mode
Tbh i love how the behemoth makes games, I have not played a behemoth game i didnt like, it doesnt matter what game it is i will probably love the game, castle crashers 2 obviously would be awesome, but if it doesnt happen its ok
I'd love more content, im a damn Castle Crashers fan since 2018 i was a little kid,not that little but still,i recently came back to it and i play it with my new friends,its my favourite game ever,unfortunately tho,a sequel would probably mess it up,sequels are always forced, i just want maybe a dlc with more endgame content.
Its fresh to see a company not make sequel cash grabs and yearly releases of the same game, good on them. The sequel to alien hominid after 10+ years is fine with me and I would love more castle crashers content for sure but it has to match the originals legacy and thats rough for creatives
