Hi Denis, The reason for this is because the esc doesn't know your transmitters endpoints, e.g. 75% on the transmitter could be 90% in the esc (or the opposite). When the governor is setup, it will say a percentage of throttle to achieve the correct headspeed, if this is set wrong, the headspeed wont be correct. Thanks Tom
Hi Tom, useful video, thanks for that! One thing seems confusing to me. Namely, adjusting the ESC's end points, you've determined the range of 90% - 106% on your TX, that seems to "fit" the ESC and I understood you need to keep this travel setting on your TX, is that right? OK, so how come there's such a big difference between original TX travel range 0% - 100% and the one that ESC is accepting, like 90% - 106%? Thanks, Denis
thanks tom but im still having issues that when i throttle to half, the head speed is what you would think. if i put the throttle down a quarter the engine virtually stops and then takes ages to power back to half throttle. the heli would never fly with this any ideas?
I'm not sure about reset to default as I haven't programmed my esc for a while, so im unfamiliar with the software. It is hard to understand what is wrong with your settings, but it sounds like a governor problem. have you tried flying in non governor mode?
Hey tom , I have trying adjusted the endpoint on my CC HV80 but struggle to set the high throttle endpoint the motor not beeping even the travel adjust up to 150max ( DX7s ) but low throttle endpoint was ok its beeping when travel adjust about 116 . any idea what happen ? im very sure TX norm throttle are correct which is 0,25,50,75,100 and travel adjust start from 0 . did I miss something ?
there isn't much difference from starting from 0, 30 or 50. It's just encase the travel in the esc is 45, it won't work to start from 50. So i start from 0 just to make sure, then increase until the esc beeps. thanks
Is it normal for the Castle ESC's to beep every few seconds? Everything works but I have never used one of the HV ESC's and just want to make sure I am not doing something wrong.
