Castlevania 1 unreal remake update 

30 years later, and still "fuck medusa heads" ---amirite?!

The interpretation of semi abstract platform levels into a somewhat believable architecture is actually quite impressive.

Few years ago a man known as Christian Whitehead just started making a remake of Sonic CD for modern consoles. On his own. Sega saw the quality of his work, helped him push it out. Today, he works for them full time and in 2 months, a game developed and directed by him called Sonic Mania will be released. It looks really promising. And in the other corner, we have tardlings like Konami who see a talented developer interested in their IP and they shut him down. I'm not saying they should hire him, but at least let people make fangames? Now instead of having an interesting fangame to spark some interest in the franchise, this guy can rebrand the project and make mad stacks from thirsty Castlevania fans that Konami kept starving for so long. Nintendo is on the same S.S. Dickhead boat with their shutdown of Pokemon Uranium and copyright strikes on RU-vid videos that are under fair use.

The embarrassment of it being leg day but you had to defeat Dracula that same night.

Wow, ruining great franchises is one thing, but preventing talented enthousiastic fans from doing what Konami SHOULD be doing in the first place is just really fucked up.

Why Konami can't put a little money into a downloadable remake like this while a fan does it for free and out of passion makes zero sense to me. Fantastic work, man!:)

It's like gaming companies stop us from giving ourselves what we want, since they refuse to give us what we want... and then learning what we want? they still... don't do it.

So, we can't have a nonprofit remake of Castlevania... but we can have a terrible pachinko Metal Gear Solid remake and Metal Gear Survive? Yeah, Fuckonami.

Well for the legal stuff, may i suggest, if you'er using sound fx and music ripped straight from castlevania, take it out, and rename and brand your title with something along the lines of Spiritual Successor or Inspired by and then call it Katsle-mania. Other than that, all i see is a very well done and nice platformer, game where the avatar is wielding a whip/chain weapon, i don't think Konami has intellectual rights on such common theme mechanics and rights to locations in games such as castles and grave yards.

Of course Konami would hit you with a cease and desist. They don't like it when people make better products than they do. That and I suspect they aren't done ruining the franchise yet.

Well, with this level of finesse, you'll do fine working on something original of your own. The platforming and action is smooth and makes me really want to play your future games!

Dear Konami, Sign the people making this, and make it official. Release it on the PS3, 360, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS, Switch and PC. It's amazing. People want Castlevania games, even if you don't think they do.

The 3D environment is incredible. 2D and 3D have a great dialogue in this. The way Simon moves in the stairs and smash the candles seems very natural

The rendering of this is beautiful! Too bad Konami is too shortsighted to see the potential. Legalized corporate fricken mafia.

Looks great bro, props to that, loved the movement of the main character, so well done. I only found one single glitch, when changing the throwing item, the II icon when have it, it remains, should disappear, but that's little thing. I love the work so far

dude your feeling to convert the original map into 3d and the moody lighting, good lord this is absolutely brilliant. Also the detail that the candles are deeper in the back is a super idea.

Increasing the level of darkness and ominous mood as you approach the boss is a really nice touch.

This looks fucking fun and awesome! Don't worry dejawolfs, even konami won't you to keep working on this project, we all know you can do your own original project inspired by castlevania. You got talent just find what kind of concept you'll like and make it, im a map maker so, i only dream to do something like this game you did.
