To be honest, when you look at what happened to Lisa, you can't help but feel sorry for Dracula. She was a pure person and the first one to show him love in centuries, and what happens to her? She's put on trial for witchcraft and is burned at the stake. If I'm being honest with myself, if that happened to me, I'd react the same way, a lot of people would.

You really can't blame Dracula for losing his shit after what they did to her. But, as both Godbrand and Alucard said, his genocidal war against the humans was actually history's longest suicide note. He had even quit feeding since she died knowing someone would come for him. He wanted to be weak enough to fall.

My husband: That long sword gives him a pretty big advantage! Me: He's half vampire! He could be wielding a plastic spork and still have the advantage!

It's sad to think that according to the history of Castlevania, Dracula became what he is because his first wife died. At that time he is only a human filled with grief that he did everything, even betrayed his friend (the first Belmont Hunter) and became the vampire he is until he met Lisa who looks identical to his first wife (ya know, kinda like Mina of Bram Stoker with the reincarnation and all except Castlevania version). I think when I saw Alucard crying at the last scene in season 2 that maybe Dracula became so elusive because of the monotonous way of his life after what happened with the Belmonts. Ya know, they attack, he fought back, repeat. Kinda gets you bored and depressed if you think about it because he just have too much enemies, both from the humans and monsters alike. And according to this series (cause in the game, it's different) Dracula is just that old sage who knows too much, not just because of his modern science that people thinks is blasphemy but also because of his experience with time. He just looks so fed up with his dead eyes and withered soul (if he have one) that burst into life when he met Lisa. Then his wife died. Again. If you think about it, it's poetically melancholic that his wife was both his salvation and downfall.

The most tragic character in the series, the one I feel for the most, is the one that's also the final boss. May you find peace, Vlad Dracula Tepes. May you and Lisa rest forevermore in paradise. Edit after season 4: He now rests happily.

0:52 to 0:59 is the coolest shit I've ever seen and I can't stop replaying it the music fits so well

I like that at the end for the fight you could tell Dracula cared for humans and wanted to die because saved one of his human friends issac from being killed because he was willing to put his life on the line to protect Dracula

I worry for myself that when I watched this I was on Dracula’s side the entire time.

Curse of immortality is a cruel one. Watching someone you love die, while you cant do anything to prevent that must hurt like hell. Even though dracula was incredibly powerfull, he still wasnt able to use that power to save his loved one. And what is that immortality good for?

Oh my god, I was avoiding this AMV because I though of literally any other MONSTER song and thought it would be super edgy.(Not that I hate the other songs, there’re just a little too hard core for me. I do listen to them every now and then. Just not all the time.) I’m glad I finally watched the video, I was expecting this huge sound, and I was happy for the change. I actually like the song.

Now I know why drac is evil first he was good because he fell inlove with Alucard's mother(Lisa) but the village killed Lisa so that's why drac killed all of the people
