We're back into the epic series that we all know and love: Castlevania!
This theme was a highly-requested gem that I'd get numerous shouts for during my Twitch streams to cover. I can definitely understand why. This theme just SCREAMS metal cover like many other awesome Castlevania themes.
I went into this arrangement wanting to be as groovy and funky as I possibly could to try and keep that bouncy feel of the theme. It can be challenging sometimes in metal to introduce the funkiness element since the genre usually focuses on other aspects of the rhythm much like speed and heaviness. But It was a ton of fun to basically say "NO, we're being funky today!" so It was a constant balance to make it as crushing as I could but keep that awesome groove.
The lead guitars were SO much fun to record on this one. Castlevania melodies are always so well-composed and they usually translate over to guitar like fitting a perfectly fitted puzzle piece.
