Hello. Arek here. Good news: today I have a boss run of Castlevania game for you. Bad news: it is Grimoire of Souls. I recorded all story bosses which are present in Apple Arcade release now and one boss found during events (don't really know if the are more of these). As usual with my Castlevania boss runs, these are done under hardest restrictions: no damage taken during the fights, no subweapons or skill usage. Well, to be honest, the bosses are not what I hate here. It is the game overall. What GoS could be: a mostly linear platformer with long stages and bosses at the end of each one. Maybe it could even be a metroidvania or just have non-linear stage layout. Overall, it had a potential to be a good game. The design of enemy sprites is not bad. Attacks and patterns of the bosses are far more interesting that what you usually expect from a game that originally was released for Android. It might not have become overly popular but it could be a nice present for fans like CV ReBirth on WiiWare. What GoS actually is: a shitty mobile game where you are grinding more than actually playing it. Also, a game that never saw global release of its original release on mobile platforms and which is now available only for (un?)fortunate Mac and IPhone owners. By the way, it is still unfinished. Nothing else to say here. And if by any chance you are considering if this game is worth your time... No, it is not.
I still don't know how Konami managed to fuck up this game, but they somehow did it... it could've been a mobile version of Harmony of Despair (which btw I still don't get why it wasn't released in other platforms outside the PS3 and Xbox360), but they killed it, just like every IP they own
10:30 Legion went from literally giving me nightmares as a kid to making me think 'why are we fighting the Wikipedia logo?'. NICE FUCKING MODEL, KONAMI.
not only did they make the music sounded like cheap ass remix of SoTN boss music, they removed what makes legion fight so terrifying in the first place, the screams that echoes whenever legion's layer is peeled, not to mention the slow paced fight is literally going to put you to sleep compared to SoTN version of legion boss fight
@@Charagodslayer666 SotN legion's corpses were more corpse-like (having defined faces and muscles) and were bound together with that creepy red glowing outline. So, no. Legion did NOT always look like that.
For how this game looks, and for how much i love castlevania, i cant find myself playing this. More than anything, ripping models and putting them in a dedicated castlevania type game would be more fun than this apple arcade trash.
This game looks like it has some potential! too bad it's bad. How unsurprizing, that Konami would release a game in a beloved franchise and it would be grindey and unfinished
Equivalent exchange; if the game publishers no longer want to put in the work with their games, then their fans will become game pirates for the better🏴☠️🎮
Although it seems that the Castlevania fans don’t _technically_ promote piracy, you Damn sure all of us pirate the entire series (because making an NFT auction is a good way to treat your fans and the series)
Yeah, turning Soma evil instead seems kinda like a disrespect with the character and kills the point that "he is supposed to be Dracula's second chance in life"
Why is chapter 5 locked? and the game ends up in the boss of "All for one" chapter 4. I play at Apple Arcade on my cell phone, I saw on a website that in chapter 5 he faces Eligor, (Head of Castlevania Order of Ecclesia) with Shanoa, but not by cell phone is allowed, can you answer me please?
Why they not releasing it on consoles allready? No matter how much they delay it on bigger and ahem (more important systems) from i Phone it's worst! Eventually they will do it with more stuff to the consoles,so why delay it Konami in the end?!
I don't understand why I'm so underwhelmed by this... Is it because of how slow these bosses seem to be or just how spungy they are...? It just feels wrong somehow... like almost as if Alucard is too fast and his movement is too advanced for them. I don't get it. It's as if he's taken from an entirely different game then the bosses themselves. They just don't fit together.
I believe there is controller support for this but i think the tutorial forces touch controls. I don't remember all of the details off the top of my head at the moment.
If there's a super hard version of Dark Lord Soma , probably change his attack to be something like this instead of damage increase ; Soma summons two large axes instead of one. Hellfire splits into 5 instead of 3 Malachi soul that launches quite fast , but if you got hit by it , the thing slows down And the most annoying of all ; Locust Raid.
We need a symphony of the night style! Not endless grinding for shards! RNG involved summon! Some of the boss is overpowered. Unless you meet requirement equipment and lvl!
except konami knows they would actually just lose money from it since castlevania is now one of their money-check-out franchises now, though it would had been nice if they actually sold the IP to to IGA
@@dioshoes9096 It's the same people who decided to *not* release Harmony of Despair outside the PS3 and Xbox360, it's not about finding the problem, *THEY ARE THE PROBLEM!!*
@@felps_4500 The reason Harmony of Despair hasn't been released outside the PS3 and Xbox 360 is because those servers are still up and running to this day. Almost 12 years later.
Tbh sad attempt to spark new interest in the Game, a Port of the GBA games made for newer consoles Will probably gave Konami more Money than This. I hope Konami ends up Making a Actually Good Castlevania Game that isn’t A previous game from the Series (not that the old games are bad)
Honest opinion. This straight sucks. Konami goes and release a crappy Contra games, now this half back Castlevania game. They were better off not even attempting to make another Castlevania game. Gone are the glory days for Konami.
@@nerdmetall You could make the same question about half a dozen companies we used to trust and are now going down the same path: EA, Activision-Blizzard, Rockstar, BioWare...
His episode was not released on Apple Arcade when this video was uploaded. As for now... I saw the amount of grind I need to do just to be able to damage anything on level 1-1 in world 5. Konami can stick this game where sun doesn't shine. I am NOT returning to it even if they finish this garbage.
All looks nice, but the bosses run the script and do not respond to the player, poke me a bug for saying this, but it looks very sad especially the battle with the dragon which is there what's doing and spewing, this is a problem most games series Castlevania and its like just a script and no life.
