why imagine when you can do it in super castlevania 4? the background music is really lackluster and doesn't get in the way of any added music for the first part of the dracula boss fight.

What a shame the live-action movie got cancelled, would have been cool to see that one, provided they didn't stray too far from the story.

Well. Super castlevania IV had kind the right idea. That's why I think it is one of THE best Castlevania games ever done. So... Not only are the Belmonts related to the Joestars, (and possibly one Dr. Jones) but also the Blazkowicz lineage (including the Doom Slayer).

All 3 lineages are Chad's.

If a 3D remake of the Simon's era are done (a good, respectful remake), I want to see him brawling against the undead/dark monstrosities. He doesn't need magic. He can take down most of the horrors with one big punch

Well, Simon Belmont is the only one of the lineage who is kind of inept with magic so he focused all of his training on pure muscle training and kicking monster asses, so yeah...

Although it is by far the easiest of the original games, was an early SNES release, and is basically a remake of NES CV1 it provides great gameplay mechanics, an awesome storyline enhancement, and beautiful graphics. Its fun to play, but unfortunately its not very challenging which typically pushes die hard Vania fans away looking for a real challenge such as CV3 Hard Mode or NES CV1 second loop.

@@thegoldenorder1240 It made very impressive use of the early SNES capabilities, in my opinion. I would have liked an entire Castlevania trilogy done in the Super Castlevania format, with the directional and swinging whip. And Slogra/Gaibon are one of my favorite subbosses.

In games, he actually was a real "John Wick" from Belmonts, slashing every demon by himself, not pretending to have any friend he could trust to defeat Dracula (twice!!). That's my real dream: Simon Belmont appearing in the Netflix show as a psycho lone hunter.

Julius Belmont was ridiculously powerful and he put the Count down for good so by that alone he is the greatest Belmont...I'd say Christopher and Simon are on the same level though

@Ties de Jong You're right, I forgot that it was his Dracula's ghost...but Simon also had a handicap himself with a curse if I'm not mistaken, thats gotta count for something...but Id say 1 and a half times for Simon...You could even argue that Chris managed to kill Dracula once do to him surviving the fist encounter with Chris but he did faced Dracula at full power twice so Chris would still edge Simon out. Lol Id still classify them both as nearly equal though.

Even though he isn’t in all the games, he is widely regarded as the face of Castlevania. When you think castlevania, Simon is the first thing that comes to everyone’s mind. Hell he is so iconic and synonymous with the franchise he actually overshadows Dracula, one of the most iconic fictional characters of all time.

@@RedHairdo Not really no. Alucard is a very famous depiction of Dracula's son. If you say Alucard people might know him but not necessarily connect it to Castlevania. In the case of Castlevania, Simon is the face of Castlevania while Alucard is who people swoon over. It's like in Megaman series, if you say the series, people will think of X, but people swoon over Zero.

+NetMoverSitan yeah that is a very good point and that's why they didn't make it, but that's not really what I was referring to, I wasn't referring to anything in fact, I don't want an independent castlevania movie with the budget of a ham sandwich, I want a castlevania movie with a good budget that Hollywood is involved in and with this theme song but you do make a good point no fucking way do I want them to make a movie that isn't faithful to the original source and made with a budget that really isn't realistic for a film of this magnitude.
