A fun fact: this song, as well as many others in Order of Ecclesia use two leitmotifs: - Cross Your Heart (Haunted Castle/Arcade) - The Arena (Aria of Sorrow/Game Boy Advance)

I love the intro and how it contrasts with the rest of the song. It represents Barlowe perfectly; On the surface he appears noble, but in the end, he was just as chaotic as Dracula.

Hard mode Barlowe is probably the most fun boss in all of Castlevania. Nothing can beat dive kicking through his fireballs and his fist rushdowns. His laugh during the electric shield rush is also 100x more menacing since it's so easy to die to it if you aren't over leveled

Agreed. I did a Hard Mode Lvl.1 New Game run and Barlowe was easily the highlight. Such a tough yet fair fast-paced battle.

@@BknMoonStudiosAyyy, another Level 1 enjoyer! I really like how they designed PoR and OoE to accommodate Level 1 runs and that no-damage boss fights are clearly possible, if frustrating, from the medals they give you in OoE. And I love revisiting all these same bosses on a Level 255 cap data and just shredding everything. Cathartic.

Weird how a handheld Castlevania game without any Belmonts seems to be such a great entry in the series, especially with the music! Wonderful job as always Evelyn!

This arrangement is so great, that it expresses the sorrow, reluctance, and determination of Shanoa that she have to fight against her mentor.

This makes me think of a 3D adaptation of Order of Ecclisia. 0:00 - 0:13 could be the background music while at Ecclesia and from 0:14 onwards that's the boss theme for Barlowe.

I found you through your Boktai remix and have recently been listening to all of your other pieces. You must have worked so hard because the instrumentation almost always sounds like you've channeled the essence of the original while improving the mechanical aspects in every way you could. Fun Fact: Barlowe could very well be named after the villain of the same name from Salem's Lot. In my opinion it would have been pretty cool to see if Iga added more Stephen King based enemies and bosses if the series were to continue as normal.

Not sure if you take requests or anything, but I'd love to see you revisit some Fire Emblem tracks again. Your arrangements are just incredible I have no idea how your channel isn't bigger than it is. Consistent and quality uploads. If you do end up reading this, Twilight of the Gods from Shadows of Valentia is a fan favorite that's worth a re-orchestration imo :)
