Cool game! I love Etali commander. I think, sadly, Relentless Assault does not work off Etali trigger because it requires to be cast during a main phase..

Just FYI for anyone, since I also didn't know this before: When cards like Treasure Map/Treasure Cove transform if they were tapped previously, they stay tapped. It's different than cards that exile and then transform.

Your ad in front of your video was so realistic, I tried to skip in while I had the video minimized on my phone, which just put on the next video if autoplay was on, and i was so confused when something completely different showed up on my screen.

I’m only quasi-sure, but I don’t think you would get an extra combat with relentless assault based on the new oracle text. I believe it has to be cast in your main phase. At least according to my buddy’s research for his Magar of the Magic Strings deck.

Yeah, afaik Savage Beating is the only Extra Combat spell that works with Magar because of the "after this main phase" wording on just about all the other extra combat sorceries. EDIT: it looks to me like they didn't do that extra combat but everything would have been tapped/not able to attack anyway so it ultimately doesn't matter. It actually seems to me they did pretty good with the weird ways the multiple extra combats worked with things being untapped at weird times.

So just something to keep in mind at 39:47 Reckless Assault could have not been played since Maddy did not declare an additional combat phase during her main phase

Can you play a Reflecting Pool in a colorless deck? I mean... It mustn't work, does it?

The text on Reflecting Pool is that it adds mana for any type that could be produced. Colorless is a type, so she can make mana. If she had played an Exotic Orchard instead (which makes mana based on color), then it wouldn't work.

Olivia was really goin in on Eilidh sayin the Etali turn was no fault but her own but fr Olivia could’ve destroyed flying equipment on Etali from her Sinew and Steel instead of… the mana rock. She probably forgot ab it at the time understandable it was tucked under the Etali
