Gattopillar' Davvero, Cosabella (Caterpillar for real , a thing of beauty). Luigi likes it, says, now thats a proud Irishman. First class job. Thanks for posting. Big AL Boston ,MA.
Fine Machine well refurbished!! Ahead of its time in her day🤔 the counter weight is strangely setup dropped down like that..... but still probably gives good balance.....💪🏼😁
The dropped counterweight allows better access to the engine that way. Most modern counterweights are hollow and filled with sand or some kind of ballast. The 245’s looks to be a solid lump of metal.
@@AwesomeEarthmovers oooh yea I seen the service doors on older one!! Some counter weights are also hydraulic and can drop down and unhitch especially for transport eh..... but is this for servicing reasons also??
@@jascollinscork ITS A BETTER DESIGN ALL AROUND ,BETTER BALANCED, THEY STAY PUT , BUT IT COSTS MORE MONEY AND TIME TO BUILD A MACHINE THIS GOOD, SO iF YOU CAN AFFORD TO REBUILD ONE OR FIND ONE THATS MINT ,YOU ARE ON A HIGHER SHELF. They can't afford to build em ' this way anymore. I would take a Healthy 245B or D over a Mistubisheee 375 or 374. anyday. The 245 looks better and sounds better, and digs better , they are built to dig . . The Best steel , oversized pistons , rugged oversized radiator, oversized hydraulic oil cooler. and they are the coolest most bad ass hoe around.
@@albertemanuello7471 💯 percent right Al, a better machine all around. These 245's especially the B&D models will be working when the Mitsubishi/ cats are in the junkyard.
Interesting info @@albertemanuello7471 !!! So are you saying the older CATs could out dig/load the new CATs..... or at least breakdown less it it.....🤔😁
Scott McQuarrie some times you’ve got to have the rock guard on or you will have a rock in your face like a idiot so you have to have one a lot of the time.😂
@@tomlamdiecast1707 negative, I have 37 years in Backhoes and Excavators and I won't even think about operating one with a lattice shield on it. Run the machine properly and not like an idiot and you won't drag stuff into the cab. Stop slamming the bucket into the ground and you minimilize your chances of shrapnel. It's called being a professional.
Scott McQuarrie is Ageee and disagree stupid thing can happen very fast no matter good you think you are. Other object could fall and hit it. Completely not operators fault.
