What do you do when the pile you need to load out is too soft for your 85 ton hoe? No you don't get a smaller one...you load your material from the bottom and make shit happen!
I spend all day running a Cat 300.9 It occurs to me that the bucket here is taking scoops of wet material that probably weigh astonishingly more than my entire machine.
typically you would load from the top of the pile and create a bench for yourself ( easier to dig under the machine than above) so you load trucks fast and easier
That's how shit piles have to get loaded in the feedlots unless they are completely dry which never ever happens. That's when it's always nice to put dirt into the pens then you ain't sittin in shit and you don't gotta shovel it outta your tracks everyday.
Looks like an example of how to skilfully operate the hoe with quite difficult material. Drive by loading of trucks saves time and makes up for any excess skewing he has to do because he can't get on top of the heap. I want to learn how to operate like this!
Loading trucks like that sucks so much easier on top of the pile you make it look to easy at least the material underneath still had some moisture to it definitely getting your buckets worth out of every turn haha great vid
