I work at this mine, dad drove truck 82 for about a year and a half and I drive it on and off now. The excavator in this video also tipped over a few years ago on the cab side and wrecked it
@@vivacehome1 price this is a huge money maker for a big excavating company to use and get product to customers. This machine will put you in the market at about 20 million to 25 million bucks. No joke. Big money for these machines.
Water. If ever a site needed water, and plenty of it. That is just killing the machines, not to mention the operators. The filters and seals on those machines aren't *that* good.
Hey Marco J, I love this video that you uploaded! Do you own it, and if so would I be okay to feature it on my channel? You would be fully credited of course!
No Durr... Ya gotta get your stand off and truck placement correct first tho. Truck got its pos3&4 jacked up and he still barely in the right spot.... Not to mention the dig pattern, that was all over the shop.
@@ruralmonitoringservice6090 all u need is a good team of Internal equipment maintenance team, keeps the wheel turning and keeps the filter dealer happy
From what I see, it’s fluffy material and maybe the Water Cart Operator hasn’t been able to water down the bench sufficiently enough or at all due to other tasks that need more attention ie haul roads, shots or even waste dumps and tipheads.
It’s fire clay , don’t waste water there it gets too 40 c usually got thin seams of coal in the rock too thin to mine until they get to main seam of which there is about 6 seams coking , Thermal
@John Smith The power output of this huge backhoe is probably fine. I’m pretty sure the problem is with the operator. Looks like he needs more training. He should be getting a better fill factor on a consistent basis. I was surprised that he dumped the first bucket load from a height. The haul truck takes a beating when they get loaded like that. There is a possibility that the excavator bucket is not ideal for digging this type of overburden. Material looks to be very dense and heavy. The big Cat excavator might work better with a more narrow and deeper bucket. It’s extremely important to use the correct bucket based on digging conditions. The bucket teeth must be in very good condition as well, in order to achieve high production.
Can you imagine the toxicity of that smoke each and every shovel full 24 hours a day 363 days a year by about probably 30000 of these machines not as small as this one.
@@alembicguyridesagain9428 it's a strange site mate, that's foresure, after the plant this coal is then hauled by LCR groups road trains to the load out
