Made this as a bit of a response to all the people out there who claim that cats are incapable of showing any kind of affection or bonding with humans. My little guy is always at my side and he is the biggest baby of a cat.
Hello all. I wanted to put this hear to let everyone know that Garfield passed on at the end of March. It was a very difficult time and I want to thank everyone that has watched my videos and enjoyed them in the past. I will leave the videos up so that people can still enjoy the kind of cat Garfield was. He was very special to me and I want his memory to live on. Thank you again for allowing me to share Garfield with everyone, and for those of you with your own kitties, give them a big hug on my behalf. Rest in peace little buddy ❤
Alicia Westfall As someone who is a dog person at heart I agree. My girlfriend's cats have taught me this and now after being around them a couple years I am both a cat and dog person.

I don't think so. I've seen cats groom each other without liking each other all that much, it isn't necessarily a show of affection just because it's touchy feely, it's simply a human value that being 2nd base level of touchy feely is something only to be done between individuals that like each other a lot.

As strange as this may sound, most domesticated cats are very affectionate and loyal. Basically, if you are nice and caring to them, they will be nice and caring right back to you. No doubt, this cat has the utmost love and respect for its owner. I have had 3 cats over the year, 2 males and 1 female. All of them had different personalities and mannerisms. One thing remained constant; they always loved to be around me. It wasn't because I fed them lots of treats or because I had some special scent. It was because I petted them, I played with them, I let them have their alone time, and when they sought me out, I responded with kindness and affection. Your cats are always speaking to you. Just listen to what they are saying, and you will have a wonderful relationship with them.
i had three pairs of cats over the years the all really liked me except for this female who would always scratch me so i stayed clear of her but other than that there were nice and never tried to hurt me
This is how my cat is. He just turned 20 and he's still so affectionate. I'm so scared for the day he crosses the rainbow bridge as he's become such a part of me. The love of a cat is so special. 💕 Youre a good cat owner and person, he knows. He loves you.
Asif Khan I've had 4 cats in my life. 1 black, 1 grey & 2 ginger toms and that was also my experience. They just love to cuddle & are like big babies just like this one in the video ❤️

I had an orange male cat I named Maximillian, Max for short. Had him for 17 years. He would regularly jump on my shoulder for attention and if I were in one end of my apartment and called him he'd always respond with a meow while he came running over to see what I wanted, no matter where he was. I now have a black cat named Sophie but I miss Max oh so dearly.
Cyril TV Sohie doesn't lick but sometimes she tries to negotiate with me at the most inopportune time...like in the mornings when i'm hurrying to leave for work. And that heffer likes to have the last word!

Awwwww I had a cat exactly like him (voice and everything) he was more fluffy & chubby. His name was tom. Please love Garfield like no other.. I love the bond you two have! & i miss the bond I had with tommy. 😞 breaks my heart, because people who don't like animals or never had one don't understand the love you give them & the love they can make you feel or give you in return. It's absolutely beautiful. Unconditional love. 💗😭

He loves his father!!! I had a Ginger like that, he was always at my side and wanted to help me with whatever I was doing. He even loved to travel by car! I miss him so badly; he was my bff.

We just had to let go our 14 year old pit bull dog. He was the smartest most special dog... if I ever get a dog again, it’d be a pit bull. They’re so misunderstood and mislabeled by society in general. For now, I’ll stay with my orange tabby cat who loves to cuddle. :)

I'm convinced that people whose cats are not affectionate, it's probably something about the person, not the cat. I have never had a cat that didn't like some kind of affection.
Assuming cats can't be loving is a self-fullfilling prophecy. If people don't put enough into the relationship, the cat probably won't decide to to it all themself.
+1luving It's a matter of people who don't like cats in the first place being willfully ignorant about them, expecting them to just show mountains of affection for no reason, then whining about how not affectionate they are. They expect the behavior of dogs or even other human beings out of an animal that is neither then act surprised when it turns out cats won't bend over backwards to them from day one. It's the result of nothing more than simply believing cats are terrible and thus actively working to make sure all cats they ever know are terrible to enforce that belief, repeat ad infinitum . Any cat no matter how pissy they may initially be can be affectionate with anyone as long as said people actually do the research and thus know what the hell they are doing.

***** Your comment made me think...how often do you hear CAT lovers voice hatred toward dogs??? Hardly ever. I think because us cat lovers are on a higher realm and more open minded to differences. Dog lovers who hate cats are narrow minded when it comes to pets.

You don't have to train any animal to give and show you love. Animals will treat you the way you treat them. My cats give me this unconditional love that not even my child or husband can give.
I love this so much. Anybody with pets, knows how special it is when they show their affection for their owner. The feeling is unmatched. I'm a doggie person myself, but I love all animals. Great post!! 👑🐈🐾🖤
well, they are grate, i had a black ugly cat, really, she was ugly like hell, but she was sooo sweet, she knew to take my attention, when i was on couch she always came to me and then she make me a massage on stomach and i don't know how the hell but she knew how to find a spot that hurts and i was feeling much much better after, i guess they know more then we can imagine, it's annoying sometimes to cry but well, that's the cats, we are annoying sometimes too now i have a siamese and god...she really need attention, otherwise gonna push you nerves to limits :))) shes a sweet i don't know how others don't like cats but they are awesome

It could be he was weaned to early from his mother that’s why he acts like a baby. He also love you very much don’t doubt that his love is true for you.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has watched this and shared their kitty stories. When I uploaded this almost four years ago, I didn't think it would get as much attention as it has. I definitely never expected it to surpass one million views! I am happy that my little kitty and his ways have brought joy to so many of you!

My sweetie Coco does this, and it melts my heart!! She chirps and chirrs until I pick her up and snuggle her against me, then she hugs and locks. That Garfield kitty is very special!! I love ginger kitties, I've had 3 ginger females who were just the lives of my life! You have a wonderful bond ❤
My baby looked exactly like this one and did exactly this with me as well.. he was my precious. He passed at 17 years. I had him cremated ☹ oh what beautiful memories u have given me
My vet told me that orange boys almost always have the nicest personalities. If you want a lover...go orange! My cat is a bengal...I knew he was definitely still part wild cat when I got sick and he began stalking me😨
It may be true, one of the sweetest cats I've met was a smol orange boy, when he was a baby he would jump into my bed and lick me in the face and sleep with me. When I went see him at my grandma's place months later he was fucking huge, but he still loved to be picked up like a baby.
My cat is a common black l picked as an starving kitten and l feel so amazed on how loving, smart and most of all how beautiful and delicate she is. My husband gave me a mouthful then because we could not afford it, but now we are so happy did gave her a home in exchange for such love and companionship. Go for black too...

That cat truly loves you. So cute. My old followed me around all the time. Even if she was sleeping and i went to the bathroom, she woke up to follow me, and i could take her out on long walks outside, with her walking beside me like a dog without leash. And she wanted to lay on my lap all day, and i was not allowed to get any work done. Sadly i lost her a month ago. I think someone took her, and i miss her so much. It's so silent here now
Yes, orange tabbies are the best! Black cats are also very affectionate and make the best pets too. I've had the pleasure of being owned by both over the years!

Our family had a cat that was so affectionate like that, he was the best cat and I miss him to this day. He loved being held, and would easily pass from shoulder to shoulder to my twin sister. He’s such a big boy. My cat was the same. He just loved my mom and I. He died a few months ago and the pain is still here. I miss waking up to him purring next to me or begging me to scratch his ear. Your cat is adorable I wish nothing but the best of health and a long life for him ♥️
Sumer So sorry 😐 for your loss I’ve never owned a 🐈 that hasn’t acted like this. I’ve always swung them on their backs like a baby too. I refuse to call any past or present an animal, cat, or pet. I truly believe they are alien 👽 creatures here to teach us love and to study us.
Beautiful kitty, our cat is a super clingy on to me also, he literally waits inside the door every night before I get home, and lays next to me on the couch and in bed at night, thankful for a cat that loves ya back
***** You have no idea how wrong you are. There is probably some truth to that for owners who are incapable of "reaching" their cat in a personal way, but for people who are dedicated and try at it, your cat can become truly bonded to you. It all depends on you.
