Recently, Dream broke out of prison on the Dream SMP. The first thing he did after getting out was track down Tommy. I loved the chase scene when Dream chased him through the forest. I wanted to capture that adrenaline in a song. I hope you enjoy!

Ok I like how dream says "welcome back" at the start because it doesn't make sense if you listen to this song for the first time, but when you come back, it feels like he's talking to you, the viewer.

God I see this so clearly--- Tommy tries to finally sleep after Dream had escaped, after they finished making Tubbo's house safer. Once he falls asleep, after hours of tossing and turning, the first thing he hears is Dream's voice. "Welcome back!" Tommy looks around, terrified, before he feels two hands on his shoulders. "I've missed you." he turns around, to be met with the mask's smile. The one that even while in prison, had managed to haunt his dreams at least once a week. "G- Get away from me!" Tommy yelled worriedly, pulling his arms away from Dream. "Get otu of my head! THIS ISN'T FAIR! YOU CAN'T KEEP PLAYING THE WHOLE SERVER LIKE THIS!" Tommy yelled so loudly, he thought he'd pass out. "Awe, gonna cry?" Dream mocked him, clearly amused. "LEAVE ME ALONE!! LET ME HAVE MY HAPPY ENDING!!" Tommy wasn't yelling anymore, he was begging. Tears filling his eyes. "Do I huant your dreams at night??" He continued mocking the boy, the boy who had no armor, nor weapons.. While Dream, Dream did. "IT'S JUST A DREAM!! ITS JUST A DREAM!!" Tommy yelled, trying to escape. Tommy held his head, curled in a ball, trying to wake up.. But nothing worked. Dream was much closer to him now, and he got up, running. "You can try to run and hide.." Dream started, and Tommy looked back, yet there was no one. Until.. Dream was in front of him. "But you know, there's no escaping." Dream finished, grabbing the boy's arm tightly, laughing like a maniac. "I CAN'T DO THIS AGAIN!" Tommy yelled, trying desperately to pull his arm away.. But then.. Dream killed him. He woke up, sweating, back in Tubbo's house. "Right.. Just a dream.." He told himself with a sigh- Until.. He saw a sign, A sign with green letters. "dreams can be real :)" He was terrified. And soon enough.. Dream was behind him.. But now it WAS real. "Can't get out of this game of cat and mouse, huh?" Dream mocked, keeping Tommy down. Well uhm.. I think thats all Imma do bc I need the rest of my writing energy for my Wattpad stories- My user is That__Tato.. I might make this into a real thing- but idk.. I already have a couple stories, but I might add this to a certain story.

THIS WAS AMAZING. I love how unsettling everything was; the vocal distortion was used so effectively. :] And I love the glitches in the instrumental; panic attacks and anxiety always make the brain feel like it's "glitching" (at least, that's how I've explained them), so it fits really well in my opinion!

I live the allusions to canon lines from both Dream and Tommy - the stand back, the aww, and the how do you sleep at night reminds me of Tommy asking Dream “How do you not hurt?”

This is brilliant. I love how Dream's voice is different and muffled and weird which just shows how horrible and unhuman he his. You included so many references from Tommy's recent lore stream. Here are some I picked out: 'Welcome back' Dream says 'Welcome back to exile' when he comes out of the nether portal. And, I'm not sure if this was made after or before Tommy's next lore stream but when Dream says 'I've missed you' in the song that made me think of the sign Dream put up in Tommy's house (Where there was a trap) which said 'Have you missed me?'. 'Stand back get away from me'. Tommy says this to Dream in their encounter as Dream tries to edge closer. 'You're trying to get into my head' Tommy keeps repeating this to himself as he knows Dream is just trying to manipulate him again. Also after that line 'We're not doing this again.' basically saying Tommy doesn't want exile to happen over again where he was traumatised and controlled by Dream. 'How do you sleep at night?' Tommy says while running away from Dream. 'If this makes you sleep at night that's fine Dream!' Just noticed that I guess. Also 'Don't you know there's no use pretending that you've changed'. Dream says 'Everyone's going to think I've changed Tommy while I make your life a living hell!"' I find this line really interesting and it kind of shows Dream's 'plan'. He's gonna make people think the torturing, the isolation the prison has changed him. But it didn't. I don't want to make this too long but thank you if you have read this far.

I know I'm saying this really late, but I feel exactly the same about C!Dreams voice being so distorted, it really captures how warped and twisted he is, to the point that even if C!Dream is a human character, he just can't be referred to as such anymore. It also shows how Tommy shares that perspective: that Dreams views and actions are just so twisted that he doesn't even register as a person to him, Tommy can't see dream as anything but a monster and the absolute terror that accompanies Dream's presence is fully displayed through the distorted audio. The horrific relationship between these two characters is honestly my favorite character conflict in the past few years. Although I wasn't too much of a fan of the ending of the smp, as I don't believe Dreams character actually "wanted to bring everyone back together" every moment leading up to it was amazing writing that I could honestly see becoming it's own novel or animated show.

You know, I almost let the hope for Dream stopping being a villain become something I think rather than something I want. Ooo love all the visual and audio effects in this, your voice for Dream sounds so creepy and sadistic. The chorus is just perfect for Tommy, he's so done with Dream's crap, especially with the "Don't you know there's no use pretending", as Tommy knows Dream's tricky full well. He doesn't want to play, win or lose, he just wants out! Not to mention that example lyric is yet another mid sentence transition one, love it. Meanwhile Dream just makes fun of him in the second verse, trying to bait Tommy into fighting, espeically shown in the lyric, "Do I make you enraged." Also noticed you sing faster than in most songs in this one! I actually noticed it in Play With Dynamite too, it's a nice shift! Also just noticed how the mask smile appears over Dream's face in his shadow, nice detail.

"how do you sleep at night" "Can't you let me have my happy ending" these lines h u r t after the recent lore especially these two could have had a happy ending if the nukes weren't sent, and I believe at some point tommy said something like "how do you sleep at night" tho I don't remember all to well

Very Gravity Falls-esque vibe to this song and it's great! I don't watch c!Tommy much (partly because I've had some unpleasant experiences with his corner of the fandom :/) but there's a lot to be said about what his story's inspired
