I met Danny professionally in 1995 when I was a TV researcher on ITV's 'Barrymore' and he was a guest. He was quite frail then, and had his little dog Jonti with him who he spoiled and adored, a hairless breed. His autobiography 'FROM DRAGS TO RICHES' is a great read.
