"Centuries of evolution have given me perfectly white fur! I will be the ultimate predator of the Arctic tundra!" *steps outside* "Oh f&ck, that's too cold. Lemme back inside!"
When my cat experienced her first snow, she was begging to go outside so I opened the door and she immediately threw her ears back, looked at me like it was my fault it was cold, and ran away from the door where she glared at me the rest of the day.
@@barlin4972 Nobody really knows the true origins of cats, but it's true many of them come from warmer areas. But then there are lynxes who can do just fine in -40C.
@@janbo8331 yes but housecats most certainly are from warmer areas. My cat for example doesn't like to be outside on the balcony when it's cold but sunbaths inside through the windows. Another indication would be the Hieroglyphics from old egypt, where they worshiped cats.
my cat's footsteps in the snow today tell the story of him leaving the house, walking halfway down our path, rethinking his life and coming back up to the door.
Precious baby!!! His little paws must’ve started to “Byrne” from the freezing snow. Thank you for giving him a warm, loving home. My heart breaks for the animals who don’t have that.
I love how whenever a cat does a "NOPE" while going down steps, instead of turning around, it just kind of reverse-melts back onto the previous step before THEN turning around.
I saw a thing pointing out how cats will actually walk into their own steps to naturally minimize footsteps or whatever. I've definitely always noticed how cats really love to step in a fluid & precise motion. Dogs will step and jump all over the damn place 🤣🤣
Thats evolution right there. Their ancestors used it to keep traces to a minimum. Cats may be predators but they are aware of bigger predators than themself.
I love how he backs up, doesn't even turn around to start heading back. Animals have such personalities. Some cats straight up roll around in the snow. This cat is hilarious.
dude i run into you everywhere and I found your channel back when you were doing GOT predictions haha. Thank you for all the great content and Happy new year!
That’s why most animals have fur. It’s probably uncomfortable but they usually find a place to warm up or shelter. And some animals do succumb to nature. Sadly.
In live in South Siberia. Our street cats find themselves a shelter in basements, some are sitting around on heating pipes. Though there is a cat in my neighborhood who have a little if any fur on him and it made his tail to look thin like a pencil. And he survived through several winters, and we have pretty harsh winters.
I remember about 5 years ago our Snowshoe cat wanting to go out on the snow for the first time. We opened the door for her and she came back in after a minute or so. A few minutes after this she wanted to go out again but this time she liked it so much that she was playing for like half an hour! She probably grew accustomed! 😊💗
As someone who's walked barefoot in snow, I can attest to it actually physically hurting. When my cat first experienced snow she put one paw in it and decided to go back inside lmao
I absolutely love how he was genuinely curious until he got to the base of the stairs, then you see his entire body all at once express "Eew cold yucky"

The first year that our kittens would encounter snow, they would play in it. Every year following that, they would realize just how miserable it was, and join the adult cats hanging out on the warm porch.
Funny as this is, the reason I could laugh was because of how kind you were to your cat. As soon as the cat said, "I'm not happy" you let him back in. That is how a kind and caring owner does it. Thank you.
Snow isn't any colder than the rest of the ground, in fact, the bare stone or concrete of those steps actually feels colder because it conducts heats more effectively than snow. Especially if you compare to fresh snow that is more fluffy. The cat probably didn't step on the snow because it doesn't want it melting on its paws.
The squeak of that snow underfoot! It sounds like home. I love how the cat started yelling at his owner at the end like, "Wtf, Greg, what'd you make it so goddamn cold out here for?" 🤣
If the cat actually likes the cold, he would be having a slumber under those pile and it would take days to find him since he would match up with the outside lol
@l o l if the cat liked the cold, he would be sleeping in the snow and stuff (cat activities), and since he matches in color with the snow it would be really hard to find him
The cat probably saw the beautiful sunshine outside and wanted to sunbathe under the sun. He didn’t expect the chilling cold snow on the floor and instantly regrets his decision of going outside 😂
@@johnmellan1732 why so fired up about it? Here's one option, some languages have grammatical gender, so their native speakers tend to translate it that way without realizing.
Showed this video to my dog. She was quite intrigued with the results of it. Thank you sir for showing my dog your cats biggest weakness. She will be keeping that in mind for the war ahead.
I think his paws were getting way too cold if you look he tries to move his front paws away from the ground, hence the slightly pain filled meow. What a cutie pie.
@@MissTia777 Native Floridian, I hate the cold, wet or dry lmao We have rain that is so cold this time of year, it burns the skin like needles and can make you sick. I went to the mountains in Tennessee, it snowed and it was pretty dry, but I was able to actually go out in short sleeves and the sun kept my arms warm. It was great until my socks were wet. As a white person, I must say, I blend with the snow like this cat here but I sure as hell don't want to be in it :')
