I am admittedly a dog person but I have fostered cats working with rescues in the past and I do admit they're fascinating to watch. I also live in an apartment hirise and a couple of neighbors on my floor will sometimes prop their doors open so their cats can wander around and they come out in the hallway and they greet me and they ask for scratches.... I have a dog and he's used to it and he's not even jealous of them, he just looks them like "yeah, I get her all the time"8!

i also have a little cat visitor when i stayed at hostel. Her owner is my neighbour upstairs but she always visit my room every morning and wake me and my roommate. I always had to say ''Morning baby'' and gave her a hug. Everyone was surprised and i become her sitter whenever her owner went to work. She was so lovely.

That was my neighbor’s cat. He came to visit us in 2003 and he stayed for a week until we found out he was the neighbor’s cat. Still he would come over and stay for a week or 2 at a time ( we did feed him which we wouldn’t have done if he wasn’t so nice ). He spent several winters and falls with us and was incredibly well behaved. Never clawed furniture and never scratched us. He was quiet and preferred to use body language to get his point across. Once my dad started seeing his future wife and she had a dog I thought he wouldn’t come over anymore. I was wrong and they did get along, unless it was over the heater. He figured out that by being nice to her the dog moved and he could reclaim the warm spot. For years Buddy would bring us gifts of mainly dead but sometimes living prey. We got a kitten in 2012 and buddy taught him a lot about catting ( he was an orphaned kitten who’s mother had abandoned him and his brothers). Buddy ironically seemed to prefer my step sister most of the time but he was good with all of us. Once one of the neighbors other cats had died he started staying at home more. He was nearly blind when I said goodbye to him in august of 21. He still recognized my voice and he leaned in for a head bump. He passed at 18 years old ( allegedly cause we really didn’t know how old he really was) in September of 22. I hope he got rewarded for all he did for us

I LOVE THIS!! reminds me of my sweet kitty Taffy, This beautiful white cat that used to walk me to the gate back when i was working and then he would wait for me at the gate when i came home and he used to walk me to the door and then i would let him into my apartment and i will feed him. oh he was such a beautiful cat! i loved that baby!!! i still do!

My cat knows when my next door neighbor is about to leave his apartment, and she'll want me to open my door so she can watch him. She is a rescue that was abused, so she won't go up to him, but she still wants to watch him with the door open (even though she can see outside from front window) And he wants to be her friend as well, but she is very people cautious. Maybe one day she run back inside when he walks by.

Growing up, my neighbors’ 2 cats growing loved my family more than them. They would just go home to eat and come right back to our house. Both cats ended up having kittens and they brought the kittens over multiple times to our backyard. They totally liked us more ❤️😁

Ok, this summer a cat from down the street LIVES in my driveway. It barely goes home not even all night sometimes. I built it a little house for when it stays over. I didn't feed it for two months or anything. It just keeps staying here. So now I do give it food and milk. But idk about winter because it can't really live inside with my dogs. I guess it could try. Lol

I could tell by her voice that she was a native Filipina before I even saw her picture. It's one of my favorite accents. Great story!
