I had 3 types of cats (at the same time) One would head into the forest and stay there for days, she wasn’t affectionate at all except when we went to sleep while she was inside. One would leave in the morning, eat when we called her for food and went inside by 5 pm to sleep indoors. She slept on our lap every time she had the chance and was the only one who left ‘gifts’ in front of our door. And the last one just wouldn’t leave the house no matter what, but he would find spots in the house where he could hide from us just to be able to sleep undisturbed.
