Life really is a journey, and it's strange that most people expect that artists should stay the same way and always make the same music, present the same way, year after year, etc. Artists are humans, and as humans we evolve, hopefully, and it is disturbing to me to imagine that there might be those who can't or won't expand and transform. Evolution is growth. He grew into a certain direction, and is an even better human as a result. He was called by the divine, and it has been his journey, and apparently a good one. He is still with us, and looks strong, healthy, and lucid. Look how humble he is sitting there and so openly discussing his life. What an admirable person.

These facts of history reveal that Islam does not worship the same God worshipped by Christians. Why? Christians worship one God in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. But Islam denies the Holy Trinity and worships a different deity called Allah who is not a Father and who has no son. Since the religion found in the Bible teaches the Trinity, then it does not take a Ph.D. to see that Islam did not come from the Bible. Thus it is not the religion of the biblical prophets, apostles or Jesus.

May jesus christ saves you and show you true love and understanding of who really our father in heaven is. And why really Jesus christ died. Obviously every person has the freedom to choose their path. If ever cat steven was saved and knew who really Jesus Christ is. That's another subject of faith and belief that determines a person's future life and death.
Yusuf, like all other Muslims, loves Jesus Christ. Our love is for him as a Prophet of God, NOT Son of God. Islam honors Jesus and his mother Mary. An entire chapter of the Quran is dedicated to Mary. Like Yusuf, you should also read the Quran.

Look I don’t want to minimize your pain or suffering, but in about 3 or 4 decades - if you make it that far - you’ll come to see things differently. Living through war, watching family and friends die before your eyes, losing your job in a recession and still having to support a family, compromising your integrity or principles just to put food on the table and not get fired; these events gives one serious pause to consider life and all its challenges and blessings. A moral foundation, whether it be from a Christian, Muslim, Hindu , Buddhist or whatever background, helps stabilize and fortify your spirit to endure the vicissitudes of life. Nihilism, imo, just serves to do the opposite. Anything that doesn’t help you through life is just another albatross around your neck and should be discarded for something more useful. Yes a seems a good man and outwardly spiritual, but a big shame that he chose a faith that is a counterfeit. He hasn't examined the Quran sufficiently and been led down the wrong path. May the true God have mercy and guide him to safety.
