Here are my notes from the video: Before Visit: Hours for volunteers: 10am-5:45pm most days Wear long pants/shirt, socks/shoes Wear apron with name badge, pen and cell phone for pictures Check white board (medical on left; behavior on right) Pick up treats and toys Wash hands Visiting: Check yellow TLC card to see if the cat's been visited today and recent notes Prioritize older cats (6 months and up) Do TLC in getting acquainted room (GAR). Prepare GAR beforehand by bringing toys and treats to the room. Transport cat to GAR in a carrier. Use the football method to hold cats. It's easier to put the cat into the door at the top of the carrier because you can drop them in. If GAR is unavailable, do KTLC (kennel TLC) Spend 15-20 minutes with each cat Try to wear the cat out, so they get their exercise Don't use your hands to play or pet belly, paws, or tail If tail wags, they are overstimulated and may swat/bite After visit, write notes on yellow TCL card If there are any issues, write notes on white board (medical on left; behavior on right) Report any scratches or bites to staff Wash hands between each cat visit Shy cats: Do KTLC and start with a treat, then maybe a finger. if it doesn't work, you can try to play/pet with a wand URI Cats: Care for URI cats (aka "orange cats") last to avoid cross contamination.. Once you've cared for a URI cat, don't visit a regular cat for the remainder of your shift. Wear an orange apron when handling URI cats. After visit: Wash hands Complete your volunteer timesheet

Really impressed particularly regarding duties for volunteering with cats at rescue and re-homing centres. Great speaker. Your voice is so calming and clearly having a very positive effect the cat you are holding. Thank you.

@@kithein4879 Hello Kit. Can you identify where in the video this is occurring?

@@SantaCruzCountyAnimalShelter It was right in the beginning but fixed itself. Might have been my Chromebook which often has a delay with live video.
