This kitty has more awareness of what is going on around him than most humans. Fully engaged and focused. Wow! Hope you gave him lots of cuddles after scaring him half to death. 😅❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This was amazing! It was fun to watch how the kitty's eyes changed as she became more engaged in the action onscreen and then, whammo, the big scare! Hope there were lots of sweet words and hugs afterwards! 🙀😻
I would guess he's not that aware of the surroundings. He's rather focused on some toy apparently. Cats may be quite unaware of something else happening around them while focusing on their prey.
I must have been aged 10 when I sat down to watch Psycho for the first time… To this day, I remember my reaction to that horrible scene was not much different to the cat’s!
@VeteranCape Disney made live-action movie out of Lion King, which is something no one asked for honestly. It's an okay movie/film, but what really set it off was how the voice actor for Simba was Donal Glover, or Childish Gambino if you will. His voice did not fit the character at all, compared to the rest of the voice cast in the movie. They should have looked up for a guy who's voice is similar to the original movie instead.
@@gooseRIP Of course it's CGI, but it is intended to be taken as live action just like CGI special effects are. The director had no intention to make an animated feature (a CGI cartoon), even though technically it is all animated. So it's a matter of artistic intent--it is meant to look exactly like what the director envisioned an actual live-action adaptation of _The Lion King_ would look like if it were possible to make without CGI, and is a prime example of the wrong way to approach certain stories. The result speaks for itself--a soulless, pointless (except as a cash grab), bland, entirely inferior rip-off of the original cartoon. If Disney Animation were to remake _The Lion King_ in CGI (which they never would, but I'm speaking hypothetically), then it would still be an animated feature--a caricatured cartoon--rather than pretend live action, and the characters would have excellent expression (no one does it better). Whichever effects studio was hired by the live-action Disney studio to animate the 2019 remake neither had the talent/skill set nor the direction from the director to make expressive characters. They're supposed to act just like real lions, which is an extremely dumb idea.
Not b/c of the movie, lmao, the owner is doing something, probably dragging something across the floor. I've seen cats watch tv (birds usually), they NEVER behave like that.
Anemone He isn’t, the owner is in the back. And if you watch closely, you can see a really vague reflection of the movie in the cat's pupils when they grow big.
I’ve always noticed the Cats pupils are wider and bigger when indoors where’s there’s not much sunlight and the Cats pupils shrink when they are outdoors with a bunch of sunlight.
The cat’s fast twitch muscles are amazing. Every movement on screen, every sound, has its whole head and eyes going this way and that. Its body poised for immediate, instantaneous “fight or flight”… and it was lightening speed FLIGHT that won the day… 😊
You are really enjoying this poor creature's unnecessary dealing with fear? And so are 74 people who gave you thumbs up??? Shame on all of you! Fear is a tool of the dark side! You identify with demonic tricks ??? Really? Wake up!
@@justforfunentertainment7076 there was a deleted comment with 166 or more people who replied to it and a lot of people thought the cat was actually watching a movie
My cat only like watching action movie like Tekken CGi animation movie, etc. While the other cat likes listening slow music but dislike any hard music or even movies.
LMAO 🤣 I TOTALLY AGREE! WHAT A DRAMATIC CAT! HILARIOUS! I LAUGHED SO HARD THE FIRST TIME I SAW THIS! DEFINITELY DESERVES AN AWARD FOR FACIAL EXPRESSIONS AT LEAST!🤣😂😅🤣
Hi Tramar! Yes, some cats and dogs really do watch t.v.! They follow the action and react to what they see and hear on screen. I've seen this in many of my pets.
@@kimberlymurray5293 I had a chihuahua that watched TV, which limited what we watched. Westerns, baseball games, anything featuring animals, she barked at. Oh, and any fights or arguments set her off, too.
@@kimberlymurray5293 dogs eyes cannot actually perceive what is going on with the television, as their eyes work differently than ours. to them tv is a rapidly flashing box of light
@@Phutlikka Do you realize the governments of every country are using pandemics, riots, protests, emergencies as excuses to manipulate people to accept dictatorship and enslavement? They want to take away all freedom of speech and expression.
Milos Radovanovic Yes, people's pupils widen and tighten too. For example when we have certain emotions like fear and love. Or when we look to a far away place or something close. And pupils are wide when it's dark and tighten when it's bright etc. But I never witnessed so many extreme changes in such a short time in the eyes of a person.
Sure the cat was scared. They don't understand the difference between virtuality and reality. The owner and the clear majority of the commenters here obviously don't understand what is done to the cat. It's not funny, but cruel to the cat.
@@jantjarks7946 So true !!! It's nice to know another person sees the cruelty in this clip... If it happened to my kitty, Izzy, she would get picked up & comforted! GOLDEN RULE, People!!
This clip has been around for a long time, with different sound tracks edited on. The original was simply a closeup of a cat watching a toy being flicked back and forth, then someone replaced the audio (possibly with a tennis match? I don't recall now).
I never had that reaction, as I tend to think like Doomguy/Doomslayer when it comes to evil things...shoot/punch/kick/slash first and ask questions later, @winny1203.
And how would you know that the movie was ''Psycho'', I suppose you'll say you were there too with the cat ? Or you just guessed it was that movie playing ?
@@danielblanchet7577 To quote Tom Hanks in “A League of Their Own” Daniel... “what are you, stupid??” You don’t know the most classic scene of “Psycho”, when MRS. BATES real identity is revealed?? Watch the last 5 minutes of “Psycho”, dumbass.
Its the cats that are in charge really, they just let us think we are, then telepathically manipulate us. Hence all the cat driven inventions, psychicly planted in peoples minds by cats e.g, rugs, cushions, fire, houses, chairs, beds, sofas, blankets, roast dinners, hot water bottles, electric heaters, sun loungers, cardboard boxes, sun lounges, draft proofing, minced meat, cat food, central heating, cat treats, rockets to the moon. (after so many years stareing at it they were keen to find out what it was really made of, though sadly disappointed about the disproof of the cheese theory.)
@@bestamerica Pure colour cats are male and mixed colours ie: "calicos" are female because the pure colour is an allele existing only on the X chromosome. (See sex linkage in cats on Google.) *STOP HERE* I thought everyone was taught this in basic biology at school. Surprisingly scientists with "doctorates" are also unaware of basic bio which is a shock: l know, l've tested them 🤣 In general: Gingers are Tomcats (male); Black Cats are Males; Tortoiseshells are females AND Tiger Type fur (wildcats) are *female* Our protagonist in the movie is calico AND tiger type fur so l guessed female and l would bet on it. (HOWEVER because pedigree cats have been bred especially to enhance colour and apoearance this is increasingly harder to determine.)
It's very common in every living being with pupils. :D Happens to us too when we are excited, trying to focus on something in particular or are scared.
If you really knew anything about cats, you'd see he was in hunting mode. Crouched, eyes dilated, and at the end, attack. Someone was using some sort of cat toy and videoed this while playing Psycho in the background. And you fell for it.....
Not just tucking his paws, swivel his head to follow the action, but the fascinating dilation & back of the pupils! Talk about deep into what he is watching! ❤️
@Charles Ross Pupils dilating mean the cats about to attack. They look cute when doing it but don't be fooled. Another example like this gfycat.com/elegantlankyerne and this gfycat.com/slimyhorriblegelding and this reddit.com/r/attackeyes/comments/c6j1pg/ebony_attack_balloons_deploy/. Its easy to see why people think its fake (it probably is tbh). It just looks like common cat attacking behavior. Even if its real he is not afraid at all, you should be afraid when he does that to you Lol. Guy ain't the best prankster, people just don't know how c a t.
Nah IT means also (but mostly) When on the verge to jump on His Prey; more light go into their eyes so they see better basically.. If the pupils are always dilated yes IT could mean stress or illness
I had a kitty who watched t.v. She would sense danger in horror movies and get scared, or jump up and touch the screen with her 🐾 paws if she liked the person on the screen. I taught my kitty to jump into my arms, and to leap upon me from behind to perch on my shoulder. She was so good--she always landed right without scratching me. If somebody on screen appeared to walk toward her and stand, or bend over, my kitty would stand on her hind legs anticipating getting picked up. A very smart, affectionate cat. A real ham! My brother used to call her his "rumpus roast"! Yes, she was spoiled. I could drape my kitty around my shoulders and walk through the house wearing her like a fur. My mom, who didn't grow up with pets, also became very attached to her. She was the sweetest kitty cat. Never had another one so clever, and with so much personality!
@@StellarVoid_134 I seriously doubt it. However, since she hasn't replied to what happened to her I guess we'll never know. Or maybe we will if the OP someday decides to reply and tell us.
Goble That hasn’t to do with dark actually. For example, cats’ pupils dilate this way in the exact moment when they are about to jump over the prey. I see it playing with the little master hunter that lives with us.
3 reasons I love this clip: 1: This cat is such a charming, handsome looking kitty. 2: The cat’s reactions and the way it looks around are just great. 3: This was actually where I first learned about cat loafing, where they tuck all their limbs beneath their body and it looks so funny.
I wondered that too. It’s like a massive flat screen tv sitting on the floor? I think it’s entirely possible they were playing with the cat with a toy and edited the horror movie sound over the footage
@@AK-jt7kh pupil's size kept changing, that means the light went brighter then darker then brighter again. When my cat is simply following the toy his pupils are just constantly big.
Me, leaping from a chair (when I was a teenager) binge watching a Karen Black Horror Triology. The possessed Zulu Doll episode did me in. The cat's jump out of frame purr-fectly demonstrated the exact reaction I had as well. 45 years later, I still remember being at the edge of my seat and screaming, scaring the bejezuz outta myself and two friends sitting with me.
Snap! I vividly remember watching "Trilogy of Terror" when it first aired on TV. The scariest part of the Zulu demon story was at the end when the murderous spirit possessed Karen Black. She crouched...stabbing that machete into the floor....then the evil grin that showed 100 tiny sharp pointed teeth.....BOO!
The cat isn't actually watching a movie, but the audio is from Psycho. I first watched Psycho when I was 10, so in cat years that would be like what, 2?
I bet I've watched this video 50+ times, and I STILL love to watch his eyes...and when collapsed on his paws. Wonder where he ran off to after he jumped at the end... Just so damn cute.
I laugh so hard EVERY time I watch this!!! I love when she gets so invested in watching, she lays down and tucks her cute little paws under......hilarious 🐾
