If you'd like to check your number of minimum Death Strike heals, make sure to track Ancestral Vigor (my min DS goes up to 16.1k with this fully stacked), Rallying Cry (doesn't usually show up on buffs in healing done section, so cross reference buff uptime with heal time), and Vamp Blood. All of these things will significantly increase min DS heals
Heres hoping we get some class balance changes soon. Not that BDK needs a nerf but all the other tank specs need some buffs to compare. WoG for example is such a dissapointing button and its on a 20 second cooldown
1:01:35 - the answer is simpler. You get so much more dmg with crimson scourge because sims rotation bugs out is you don't have that talent. Go to manual rotation tab and disable "if crimson scourge is up - cast blood boil" action. And you will see your dmg jump for 2k+.
Loving this haste build, i dont know how i can play without it, so comfortable :) what do you think about a pre-raid BiS list for this type of build? so i can share with my DK buddies, and for my 2nd DK i'm working on?
well i'm wondering though if talent not working for min DS is a bug or no... Edit: P.S seems like at 2:45:03 where you check the FL sixtyupgrades - you miss the cloak slot, so stats might be better a bit P.P.S it's fun how bdk don't die on last phase of chimeron
Yah not sure. Can't imagine they'd fix it at this point if it is with DKs already being so dominant. I noticed some cloaks on sixtyup that don't actually exist so I left it empty to go back and check it later. Wasn't planning to show that set on stream but it got brought up randomly
Curious about the mastery setup vs Haste. With mastery i agree that it gives more defensive capability with the blood shield but does the damage healed when receiving a big hit that hits through the blood shield count as dmg deathstrike could heal that 20% of dmg taken because if not then wouldnt the haste just sim better for logs since you would be in theory taking more dmg over all but able to heal through that dmg rather than just not taking majority of the dmg
Absorbed damage does not count towards high DS (20% dmg in last 5 secs), so mastery is really self limiting. At min DS, the healing is nearly identical between haste and mastery, but mastery will provide slightly more healing in high DS. Since healing is the only thing mastery provides and it is only slightly better at that than haste (a stat that gives a ton of benefits) there's no reason to ever stack mastery
I'm a casual gamer, I just follow the wowhead guide which focuses on mastery. I killed like 5 bosses on HC. What should I change in my gearing? a) change stam gems to haste gems b) change stam/mastery gems to stam/haste gems c) focus on items with haste instead of mastery d) reforge haste e) none of the above
Is it possible for you to share the sixtyupgrades for the later phases you threw together? I know they are just messing around but Im interested to playaround with my own copy of them and see what you think about certain slots
35:35 tbh I think that's just a wow thing, I have a 2k pc and on fights like magmaw I get around 30 fps, when I open task manager the game isn't even using 25% of my cpu but it's still unable to play at my refresh rate (165), the only other time this happened was on LK when the snow was falling
So i am still watching so this may be addressed already later on but, what you guys mentioned briefly after prog you arent holding DS anymore and basically spamming as available. Lets just say you are full chonk, would it not be more beneficial to wait after an auto attack/ability is cast because then you are able to get the most out of your mastery and hopefully get a higher DS shield. Where I imagine a higher haste sure you get smaller bubbles but you get them more often always mitigating a certain amount from each auto attack. but even if that were to be beneficial. How much dps are we losing for the mastery benefit. But then i worry that since my guild isnt the best. Trying to get haste gear is gonna leave me under prepared for firelands since we already gonna struggle as it is.
@@bikespj22 well yes but thats apart of the argument in the BDK discord in my opinion. They dont care about DPS at all and is saying 100% chonk. Where we have people saying hey thats not really 100% necessary. When the hardest hitting 25m heroic boss doesnt require that level of chonkyness.
I'm a Prot Pally with a question about stats in this phase. Should we be trying to max out on Mastery and Avoidance at this phase and not worry about reaching hit cap and expertise. Or since we can't get to the full CTC cap now anyway should we get to hit and expertise cap and then max out Avoidance and Mastery?
Hit and Expertise offer nothing for prot pallies except damage. With threat being a non issue now and pallies not needing to hit their abilities for mitigation, dropping avoid or mastery for hit/exp is just a trade off of dps for survivability. If you arent dying or getting low, then getting some more damage wouldn't be an issue.
Starting off I found stam stacking helpful at low ilvl. Since I was going to take lots of normals regardless, I at least had more HP when they happened. Now that my ilvl is higher, I'm transitioning more into mastery, but I'm probably gonna go for expertise soft cap and hit cap. The non-stop misses/dodges/parries just feels awful to play with, especially with an ability like Hammer of the Righteous being all or nothing depending on if the main attack lands.
@@SubtleFW Thanks for the input. I am currently off tanking for one of my guilds 10 man. We have full cleared everything on normal for 3 weeks now and are going to start heroics now. I have almost all 359 gear and just didn't know what would be the better way to go. I am currently doing the hit cap/expertise and then mastery as well.

I haven't tried any of those solos so not sure. In typical solos, survival is easy and you just want more damage to beat enrage timers and kill things quicker
I've pretty much fully reverse engineered death strike healing at this point (discovering snapshotting, etc). These guys making the sim just don't have it accurately modeled
