That looks like our setup. Our half lab/order collie met up with the neighbors two male Catahoulas. We had 14 puppies. They all went fast except for the one my wife fell in love with.
I've had a few vets tell me my dog is a Catahoula. I've never done a DNA test so I'm not totally sold. One day when I have some extra cash I'll definitely do it, he's the best dog I've ever had. He's just so cuddly and great with other animals. He's very balanced. If he really is a catahoula I will never get another breed! Best dogs ever :)
For sure they are, because it is the breed. My 6 wks pups looks that size now and available for rehoming at 8wks. As a pure bred Catahoula Leopard breeder. Mine parents are the original Louisiana bloodline- Wright Line. Often people don't have knowledge of this breed having 3 different lines: Wright( largest/heaviest size), McMillin and Fairbank. They own a honorary title as "Louisiana State Dog" Also, they are not aware that there are many coat colors of solids/tri, merles and patch. Not just merles as some call leopard. Actually, the entire litter is leopard due to the breed not base on color coat alone are variety of eye colors. The love for this rare breed will forever stay in my heart. Their history runs deep. Such a great dog to have. They are one of the best dogs for around!
