It is about more than independence now! It is about the right to vote! Whether the vote is Yes or No everyone should.be able to have their say! Trying to silence people will only make them more determined!
andrea King You're right, Mrs King. The only problem is : were the vote to go ahead and the "yes" vote were to win , they would be an enormous amount of uncertainty.
Yes, I think a referendum should be allowed but with the proviso that unless x percentage of the Catalonian population vote, the result would be invalid. I don`t know enough about Spain, Catalonia or Spanish politics to have a view, i.e, I could not vote yes or no and also I don`t know what percentage of the Catalonian population would to the government be a satisfactory poll, but | do think from what l ittle I have seen via this excellent video that denying Catalonians a referendum altogether would only make things fester.
Well, Mr Adcock, according to various polls the split is around 50/50 so a vote would be very close. However, unlike the Scottish referendum, there hasn't been a for & against debate to allow people to make a considered choice. This because the Spanish government totally rejects any discussions re a referendum.
Oil Your English I'll be interviewing some other "immigrants" after 1st October once the situation is clearer. Thanks for your comments Oil Your English.!
