I'm thinking about dropping out of college and getting one of these bad boys to get me to a random pacific island to live on. Would this work for that.
Nope, the Cat 27' is a little light duty for crossing. It's been done but the odds of breaking something in heavy weather is pretty good and by the time you upgrade you've spent the money for a larger more offshore capable boat. I like the 27' don't get me wrong but they are better suited for fresh water or coastal. Just IMO.
